Last week the police department of the university I work for sent a crime alert to all the university staff, faculty and students. It started with with a female student being sexually assaulted at night on campus by an unknown man and then quickly turned into rape culture propaganda about "estimates" that say 1 in 4 or 5 female students "will be" victims of sexual assault and the importance of affirmative consent etc.

Now let's do a little math. The university has about 12000 female students. One fifth of that is 2400 unfortunate females. Assuming each student spends an average of 4 years in college or graduate school, divide 2400 by 4*12 and you get 50 rapes or attempted rapes a month. So even if only one in ten assaults are reported, one should get an average of 5 such crime alerts from university's police department per month. I've been working here for a while and this is the only one I've got so far. Amazing how absurd some people can be.

This whole "rape culture" thing needs to die a painful death. American women could experience true rape culture they were a fly on the wall in any domestic prison, or if they could travel back in time a few hundred or thousand years to see our ancestors' world conquests (raping, pillaging, killing). What a joke. The word rape has lost all meaning.

Again, if rape culture were to exist, women wouldn't be able to say anything about it.

Blonde journalists fly to places like Egypt and Tunisia in the middle of a regional uprising, and then they get to experience real rape culture. Most men in the west are afraid to escalate body contact unless given a blatant green light.
