It's what every little girl dreams of ... a marriage proposal over text message ... complete with crazy Hollywood bribes and a demand that you change your crappy attitude, stat.

And that's exactly what Floyd Mayweather fired off to Shantel Jacksonback in April '14 ... according to new court docs obtained by TMZ Sports.

Jackson put the proposal on display in new legal papers filed in her nuclear warwith her ex-fiancee ... which shows how Floyd tried to convince Shantel into getting engaged for a 2nd time.

"This is what I offer to you. Let's get married move in together you can go back in forth to L.A and stay at the condo."

"I promise I will get you in 3 A list movies this year and I'm willing to go to counseling to make us work and you can get the stuff you want and I'm willing to change but I need you to have a better attitude."

How romantic, right?!

Shantel says she shot down the offer (shocker) ... and included several text messages dating back to April 2013 to show why Mayweather wasn't exactly her knight in shining armor.

Among the highlights ...

-- "I had your phone traced. I hired a detective. Your not slick." -- "I got nasty videos too that I can put on Instagram and twitter" -- "I took you from rags to riches now you back to rags bitch. that's why your out selling shit going on petty ass auditions fronting to people like your doing big sh*t."

Shantel also says Floyd got upset over a photo of her with rapper Nelly from April '14 and demanded she remove it from her social media page.

When she refused, Shantel says Floyd sent her a pic of them together in happier days with the caption, "Just tell me this didn't mean anything."

In the legal docs she also claims, "[Floyd] threatened that if I didn't take down the photo of me and Nelly, he would post 'naked photos' of me on social media."

BTW, Shantel and Nelly began dating ... and are still together.


I may be a casual to boxing, but I actually enjoy the fight against Manny. I also admire his work ethics as being a cocky person who can back it up, but as a reminder there is alway a weakness even in a high status man. This will just be more wood to the fire for Floyd in the domestic violence area.

At my gym there are a lot of professional fighters and they are tough in the ring. But if you just start talking to them they are some of the nicest easiest going guys. So I can see how oneitis would set in. I don't say that to disrespect them at all. I respect them a great deal.

I don't quite understand that change in personality. But I have my situations like that also. I just try to keep these lessons in my mind so to not get into nonsense like this.

Edit 1: And Mayweather seems like one of the more cold and calculating guys. At least based on how he has run his career. And he seems like an asshole sometimes unless it is a show. So it is surprising he is caught up in this stuff.

I've never met Mayweather, but I've talked to no fewer than fifty people who know him personally, all of whom basically said that he was the nicest, most mild mannered guy around. Based on that, I would probably say that the way he acts when the cameras are around is show. Also, that lady is quality, although she's not a knock out or anything.

I met Mayweather last year at LIV on Sundays, I was shocked by how small he is, yet there wasn't anybody there whose ass he probably couldn't kick.

He was there with some straight flames, two women who looked like they were photoshopped for real life, dude was definitely a nice dude, he even recognized where I was from based off my accent, when you talk to these celebs like they're regular people, they tend to be pretty cool -- I didn't ask for a picture or an autograph, I have him by over eight inches and 45 pounds.

Is that the same woman that aborted his twins? I think so. That may explain the emotional attachment. I knew when he started talking like a red pill man after he broke up with her that he might relapse a little bit. It takes a while for everything to really sink in. Look at all the Oneitis related threads in the game subforum. Lots of guys still struggle with it regardless of options around them. It's that devil you knew so well.

One particular problem that is never stressed enough is that you cannot reason or bargain with a woman. Especially one that you dumped. Asking them to change their mindset is a fool's errand. Women come preconfigured straight out of the factory called "Their Family" or "The Streets", in this particular case. You would not buy a cow with one eyeball hanging out of it would you? Regardless of how nice it's legs and heft looked, you would pass on that if you were smart. These bitches might look pretty good on the outside, but they are rotten and expired inside. Bitch doesn't pass initial inspection? Keep it moving. Trying to look deeper won't reveal anything worthwhile. He is a big team and camaraderie kind of guy, with a no man left behind attitude towards his inner circle and family. That stuff is great and whatnot, but you cannot apply that shit to non-blood females at all.

I hope he has gotten over this by now. He exposed TI's wife for being a hoe and now he is falling for the same trap, possibly because he is feeling vulnerable. Guys with trust issues typically feel that way from time to time.

Ye I'm not surprised by this or what Jariel experienced. If you don't fight, or haven't fought, I don't think you can fully appreciate what it does to you as a person. Fighters tend to be nice guys because they can afford to be (in the sense that once you're experienced, you'd eat most people alive). Mayweather is honestly too damn smart to be living a life full of aggression and and wild ego. You get little glimpses sometimes, like when he told that reporter 'my daughters can't eat no zero'. I've never doubted Floyd is, at worst, a perfectly reasonable, sane and warm enough bloke.

I had a (white*) mate meet James Toney once, whose attitude is way worse than Floyd's, and my friend said Toney was very kind to him, spent a few minutes shadow sparring with him and showing him a few things, and gave him some advice for moving his own career along.

*You read quite a lot that Toney, and Floyd, are only nice to black people, but from everything I've heard that's simply not true.

If you see his instagram he seems to like the external validation he get from his fame, money etc, but hasn't worked on his inner game.

I find this compelling, yet perplexing, that these circles quote on quote 'share' women. Mayweather and the Nelly guy. Drake and the hip hop guys. Hollywood with Chris Brown and Leonardo DiCaprio. These are sky high SMV males, you'd think they'd keep track of which hanger-ons have been associated with other names in the business, and keep them out of their own circle. Only fresh blood allowed.

I think that high super value men value what other high value men are pursuing. It's the masculine version of the designer purse syndrome. One woman has a new shiny handbag and suddenly other women either want the same one or want to top it. Men aren't invincible from this sort of thinking. It's keeping up with the Joneses the billionare or movie star style.
