Here's the simple story:

Girl I used to date 6 years ago is visiting my city (we hooked up in another city) for a little over a week. Back then shit got really dramatic and we had an ugly split but I had a big thing for her. She recently visited and we ended up making out, but nothing else happened. We're still friendly now.

She's visiting and I'm sure she thinks something might happen, but I'm concerned because we'll be together in another city doing business later this summer and I'd hate for things end up shitty when I could hold off and create more tension for later.

What do you think? Go for broke now or slowly escalate so that I can continue to enjoy the fruits of my patience later this summer?

Just go for it. So what if you lose her...almost all are expendable. Get over the oneitis frame of mind, and as you said you'll be in a CITY later so if things go south there are plenty of other girls to game.

The best tactic I learned on the RVF is "be aggressive." Whatever you do, make sure your end goal is fucking the girl. That is the best advice I ever got.

Now back to that girl, drop her. You fucked, it ended badly and you are considering fucking her again. Sure, do it if you can't, but make sure most of your effort is spent fucking a girl who isn't a lot of trouble.
