These are the observations of a friend of mine who for the first time in his life went to the US

He visited New York city, Miami, Los Angeles and Houston.

He told me he enjoyed the customer service (kissing your butt because you're spending money here in our business attitude) and how readily available everything is.

He hated the suburban style that dominates american cities. He felt it was depressing to have to drive everywhere.

He also told me that American women are a big step down if compared to the girls on his small hometown in central Colombia.
Not only they're fake, loud attention whores, but they're highly insecure once you scratch the surface. They're extremely dumb, empty-headed, and just plain unattractive (he attributes it to the anglo-germanic-irish heritage predominant in many whites in America)

He found disturbing how desperate some American men are.... you see dudes that would get good looking women elsewhere dating some really gross looking women! Men in the US put up with so much just to be with a woman, they're kinda pathetic to be honest!

He also didn't understand the fascination for Asian women so many American men have, according to him, Asian-American women looked just as repulsive and fake as their other American counterparts.

He was quite surprised at how large the average woman is in the US, what they consider fat in Colombia is considered slightly large or voluptuous in America and what Colombians consider circus-freak fat it's considered BBW in America.

He told me America's obsession with being PC about everything, America's obsession with races and skin colors and Americans obsession with heritages and calling themselves 25% Irish, 30% German, 2% African-American, 55% cuban it's one of the most irritating aspects of Americans as a society!

Overall: he thinks the US is ok for one or two visits but he wouldn't live there even if you paid him to!!


Interesting that a first time visitor captures all that in the matter of a three weeks!

I think you should disregard what he said and visit this country for yourself to make an accurate comparison.

I've been to Colombia.

I kinda agree with him

It's interesting, I grew up in the 90's thinking (Everyone wants to come to America, the land of the free the home of the brave etc)

When I started to travel I quickly realized that most people don't lose any sleep over going to the US, even in so called developing countries. All those ideas stem from America's self obsession.

I remember being in Germany and listening to some really idiotic Americans talk about how they need to be careful with German women because many want a green card. (then I would meet German women who could care less about me being American and didn't want to go to the US not even for tourism)

kinda put me in the perspective of things and how they really are

He reminds me of a bitter, middle aged man I know that while intelligent, pissed off everyone around him in real life because he couldn't control his spiteful negativity.

Especially after seeing his posts in the other thread.

Well I never!

I dont know why many people put Brits and Germans on the same sentence.

The problem of the UK (and Ireland): Lack of genetic quality (too few attractive women), bad diet (too overweight) and too ghetto attitudes specially from women who like to behave in the worst manners, take a piss in public, start fights and appear as rude as possible.

The problem in GErmany is different, Its usually relates to german women having low libido and almost unexistant body language when it comes to flirting and being femenine. On the other side there are many german women who are attractive or even super attractive, who dress good and who makes great longterm partners, however they arent that much into ONS or casual relationships like women in the english speaking world.

Another difference is that german women are far more mature to behave and you can easily find women to have deep conversations about anything you want, something that is extremely rare to find among Britis/aussie or american women who are not able to talk or care about anything else outside the party, gossip, new artist or whatever is fancy to talk about in her social circle.
