Last year I had a chance to travel visa-free to Belarus due to IIHF World Hockey Championships and mentioned my experience in this thread. Met a girl there and spent most of my time with just her (later regretted the decision as she had mental issues)

Now I'm back here again, instead of watching hockey live at Minsk Arena I am watching it on TV in local cafes and bars. I try to catch at least one game per day, "shoot the breeze with the locals", sample Krynitsa, and of course use free WiFi. I bought a local SIM card from carrier Velcom but even after two troubleshooting visits to their store they couldn't get SMS to work. Luckily FB messenger and WhatsApp has been good enough so far.

Anyways, getting a single-entry 30 day Belarus visa was a relatively easy process for me and required exactly one business day for processing. Cost was $135 (not including LOI, more on that below). I submitted all the information at the Belarus embassy in Washington, DC.
in-person. Unlike the Russian embassy there was no queue.

The only sticking point was that just about every tourism agency in Belarus that invites you will not grant a letter of invitation (LOI) just because you're willing to pay them $20-$40 online ($21 in my case), after contacting they will demand that you order an additional service(s) from them (I think there is a law about this). Most tourism agencies were not very responsive, eventually I settled on BelarusTourService. Very professional and pleasant to deal with staff. Perfect English (not that I need it) if questions arose.

In my case the service I used was airport pick-up and drop off. So cost for that was $50 each way. I know it's a rip-off but I got picked up in a luxury car and my driver was waiting right outside passport control and assisted with luggage. Trip from Minsk International Airport 2 to downtown is actually quite far (took about 40 minutes to drive) so not too bad of a deal.

If I didn't want this I could have used the tourism agency to get me a hotel or a tour (but I have seen most of the UNESCO sites in Belarus already so wasn't too keen on this).

So, now I am in Minsk and have been going out non-stop for 3 days. Night life is truly a young men's game but somehow my liver is still holding up

Have a lot of stories to share with you guys. Wednesday night spend an evening drinking and sharing stories with an ex-forum member who lives in Minsk now. Later walk around the city asking just about every hot girl and local guys what's poppin'. Since everyone claims that there is nothing good going on till Friday night I decide to roll out solo and hit up Shangri La casino. Get past the intimidating face control, and finally make it to the BJ and Roulette tables. Win a couple hundred thousand BYR (enough money to cover drinks and tips), feeling good and drunk. As I exit the casino around midnight I see a line of girls on way to Next Club (location couple blocks from Lenin Square). Decide to go in.

It had been 1 year since I'd been to EE so my senses get overwhelmed upon entering these types of clubs, looks like "heaven on earth". Ratio about 6(f) - 1(m) and easily half the girls are 7+. To guys like myself, coming from terrible game place like Washington, DC this can be overwhelming (in a good way). Too many targets to hit on, though I felt I was constantly watched by other girls to see whom and how I approached. There were a few too many students in the place (18-19 age) and a few with whom I made great conversation and danced I had to exit as I just can't appreciate someone half my age. Personally my sweet spot for game is 21-28.

I don't think I stick out as a foreigner (since I look local and speak good Russian) but perhaps due to my fashion sense I made a bit of an impression.

but ended up almost pulling 2 stunning blonde girls back to my crib from it (but had to run in another direction when I found out they were pros ). I made a typical nightlife approach (for myself) by commenting on their 4" stiletto heels. One thing led to next and I was immediately at a "reserved table" chatting, drinking, groping...an hour later ask them to go outside the club for a "walk"....all seems to be too easy and they are obliging. As soon as we get outside on the street they ask how much $ I have. Shoot, welcome to Next (I befriend a local guy next day who tells me that place is notorious for pros/semi-pros and is a tourist trap).

Wake up Thursday afternon with a pounding headache and my wallet lighter. Realize these pro's somehow managed to "order" a couple drinks on my tab.

Decide this won't deter me, on to Thursday night and Club Overtime, where I meet a stripper, 4 girls doing a birthday celebration, and a sweat village girl with whom I immediately get smitten with. Story to be continued...

Nice report TripleG, looking forward to more updates. One of my Turkish friends did told me last year when I was there that Next was full of semipros. I think having a way of screening them out is important when going to the high end clubs in Minsk.

Thanks. One way to screen is by amount of foreigners one sees at these clubs. At Next there were a few older foreign guys, just standing around like wallflowers. I saw two sharp dressed S. European guys (Italian?) standing in the same spot for over an hour and not hitting on any girls. I thought that maybe they had 0 game until I realized that they were probably sex tourists. Then a girl approached them and they started going for the exit. That should have been a red flag for me that this is a semi-pro hangout but alas I was enjoying myself too much to notice.

Also, these pro's disguise themselves very well. They ask many personal questions and look normal (other than high heels and perhaps too much makeup they looked like most of the student girls that night). So, you can easily have a conversation for a while and not really feel the $$$ vibe. They make you feel comfortable and try to suck you into it. I heard Dazuri club is another one that might have a few pro's so i'll avoid that like the plague!

2. Do they speak good english there?

Yeah these clubs in EE seemed to be loaded with pros and it can be annoying.

Speaking Russian is a huge advantage as you can get access to the higher girls .

Not yet, but situation is deteriorating. Worse than last year.

No. Every girl whose number I got and a girl who I tried to bring back from Overtime last night (got blocked by her girlfriends at last minute) spoke almost no English even though she was a chemist and had a 4 year university degree.

Speaking Russian is a huge advantage at clubs to build initial interest, also to get locals prices and not be ripped off however with the local girls they are either treating me cold (blowing me off on first approaches) or go crazy when they hear my accented Russian and learn I'm from USA. One hot girl studied my passport and travel stamps/visas as if it was her University finals BUT just speaking Russian I am only getting numbers and promises of dates. SO far have not been able to get past initial attraction and onto second date's with any
I did however make friends with some local guys as I've been approaching them in Russian as well (mostly talking hockey but also trying to infiltrate mixed social circles) which so far has been a lot of fun! I've seen some crazy direct game here by the local guys (to them it's not game but normal occurrence) which I hope to capitalize on in Russia next week.

I will try but remember that girls on average here dress much more conservatively in the streets than in UA or even the Baltics. Also, it has been quite cold (mid 50's during daytime). Btw, the hottest girls in Minsk are not at night clubs but at fitness centers. I hit up Palace of Sport gym today to sweat out all the alcohol from my pores, entry fee for unlimited day use was 80,000 BYR ~ $5.5.

Some tough girls here (think Victoria Azarenka). Extremely beautiful and they take their workouts seriously. Couldn't stop staring at the perfect asses and long legs while in-between my sets. Also, some of them were lifting weights that would give a run for the money to many of the western guys in the glitter US gyms like 24 hour fitness.

Continued from post 1. Thursday afternoon arrives and I wake up again tired and hungover as fuck. My head is pounding like there is no tomorrow. I guess that's what you get when you mix liquor and beer all night long. After surfing the net for a couple hours I force myself to get out of bed, grab a bite to eat at the local трактир and sightsee the town.

Later in the evening I meet up with ex-forum member Partizan, who seems to have developed quite a nice life for himself in Minsk. We talk about game, work, politics, history while polishing off a bottle of Caribbean Rum that I had brought over from Nassau (chilled in Bahamas before Belarus). He leaves my place around midnight and I get a call from my a local Belarus wingman I met earlier that he is heading to club Overtime with friends. I wearily agree to meet him there.

As soon as I step into Overtime which is located in Palace of Sport I know this is my type of place. It is a big lounge with a small floor in the back, but when I get there it is primarily playing 80's hair band rock music with some 90's techno mixed in (think Real McCoy).
As always the ratio is in favor of the guys, about 3 - 1, and the women are drop dead goerguous. Not a single fattie. I see sets of 3 and 4 girls at the bar and just a couple mediocre looking local guys. There's a few "mobster" looking guys sitting at private tables on the side with their arm candy but otherwise most of the crowd looks to be barely older than students.

My Belarus wing introduces me to two girls (who end up being off-duty strippers) and one is celebrating her 25th b-day. She is about 5-11" tall and wearing another 3" of heels and being a short guy (5'9") I'm conscious of my height. Nevertheless as soon as she finds out I'm a foreigner she get's very cozy. Tells me her mom lives in NYC and she wants to go there. I throw out some NYC bullshit and tell her I live in Brooklyn (I don't). She eats it up like a twix candy bar, hugs me, and we proceed to make out. Shortly she gives me an impromptu lap dance while her even better looking stripper friend looks on with DTF eyes. Boy I love this place!

At this time the Belarus "wing" sees that I am having such a good time and proceeds to game the same stripper as well. I can see some jealousy in his eyes. Not to make enemies and because I'm here to meet legit girls and not pro's/strippers I excuse myself from the table but not before getting all her relevant contact info and her literally begging to see me tomorrow for a date (I probably won't follow-up).

I proceed to go up to a bar for another Vodka and Red-bull and start approaching girls up and down the bar and asking them to dance. I hook onto a set of 4 pretty girls who are celebrating their friends 21st birthday.

They proceed to buy me shots and ask the bartender to put on a bit of a "fire-show". We are drinking shot after shot of some Irish Car bomb whiskey drink while it's on flame.

I am getting hammered by the minute and so are the girls. The awesomely cool bartender whom i had been tipping with my useless 20,000 BYR bills (not much of a tipping culture here) pulls me to the side and says in a friendly Alpha tone: "if they order another shot they won't make it out of here, the drinks I'm making are super strong".

I know that's a hint to escalate with one of these girls from the group of 4. She's about 5-2", 115 pounds, and looks a bit similar to actress Hayden Panettiere. She tells me she is from a provincial city (somewhere in east Belarus), and used to be a gymnast.


I can tell as she has perfectly toned calves, wide thighs and I'm all about legs. So I start talking to her about Minsk, her job, and tease her about her rough English. We proceed to the dance floor and I end up using my recently learned West Coast Swing moves (been takin' classes) to spin her round and round and pull her in. Not to be cocky but we are easily best dancing couple on the floor as most of the local guys (and girls) are just dancing individually, some look like they are having seizures. Lol

She digs my dance moves so I pull her closer and we start making out on the dance floor. The slutty eyes she gives me and the super wet lips and immediate tongue make me feel like I've found a perfect partner for the night. Thoughts of a romp go in my head and I know I have to somehow pull this girl out of the club. I actually just want to keep hanging out with her, even if it means going to McDonalds for late food. This girl is a legit 8 and I'm just not used to such quick attraction in USA.

As it's nearing 4am the club closes down. I proceed to get her # and FB info and invite her to go for a "walk". Just as we proceed to exit her 3 girl-friends forcefully pull her to the side and flag down a cab. She begs me to call her tomorrow for a date. I more than willingly promise. With the little energy I have I stumble the 10 minute walk towards my apartment.

It's 5AM now. As I'm stumbling past Grand Café I see a good looking brunette in a VW stop near me and ask if I need a ride. I know what's up, she's probably providing "gypsy cab" service. I waive her off (fucking Beta move) as I'm just a minute from my place. Should have asked her to give me a spin around the block and gotten number. I'm pissed. Some things in this country seem too good to be true.

My game is amateurish and I am a laid back not aggressive game guy by nature looking for a mini-relationship so I'm sure others would do better than me, BUT the Russian language that I've been studying for years is paying dividends. Even though Overtime Club was in a touristy area of Belarus I was the ONLY foreigner there the whole night and could feel some WGF.

So far in 3 days in Minsk I have 3 dates set-up (2 first dates) and 1 second date (via pipelining, I used Fdating.com to meet this girl). I'm running out of time here and girls are very slow in not just answering text's/voicemails but in setting up dates. I know if I spent even 3 weeks here I could have a nice rotation but a week is not enough. Thoughts of somehow relocating to EE in the future are growing by the day.

Awesome, I'm very curious about Minsk so thank you for this. Few questions for you - 1) how is the cost there compared to Ukraine or Russia if you've been? 2) if you've been to Moscow how does the quality compare?

Cost in Minsk is comparable to Kiev however Kiev has much more fancy places. Food is somewhat expensive but services are cheap. Depends where you eat of course. I went to a local cafeteria today and had a glass of juice, a glass of lemonade, beet salad, a small chicken sandwich, and fruit cocktail for $6.5. But i've also been here to pizza places that are close to middle America prices. I mentioned before a day pass to nice gym cost me $5.5. Metro costs around 28cents. Staying in a fancy apt. next to Hotel Europa is costing me around $79 night.
I've primarily been going out to bars downtown, have only hit one place in the suburbs and it was a bit of a letdown and prices were not cheaper. Places around here charge about 60,000 BYR for local draft beer, which is around $4.2. Clubs can be expensive for locals but cheapo for us. Place I went to last night had cover of 100,000BYR/ person which is about $7 dollars.

I'll tell you about Moscow next week. Flying there on Monday

gypsy cab is an "unlicensed taxi driver", basically a person driving in his private car and offering taxi services. You negotiate in advance, there is no meter. This is very common in Ukraine, you can hail just about any car on the street down and locals will give you a ride for pennies. Haven't seen as much of it in Belarus, maybe because they have police everywhere here and so many rules.

No, There is not enough to sightsee here for 5 days. It can be boring if you don't know any locals. I exhausted all the museums and even drove to Mir and Nesvizh castles which are a couple hours away from Minsk.

By the way, started off the night at Cafe 13, a nice joint for locals a bit further out from city center but had good talent. Met a girl who had lived in the states and danced with her a bit. Got her number but not feeling the vibe. Later went to BlackHall bar last night which has been hyped up on the forums and is probably the top club now in Minsk (or at least the most elite in terms of inflated prices). Felt even worse than Next club and didn't even have a proper dance floor! Full of Middle Eastern sex tourists and slutty girls (not in a good way). I still managed to get a number from a local beauty but honestly can't recommend this place.

Went to Overtime later in the night and had a much better time. Overtime Club (to me) is tops in Minsk! Last night they had topless dancers there as well, good change of scenery

I do not have enough day-game experience in Minsk to comment properly. I wasted half my time here because I was completely hungover from night game and dog-tired. The jetlag was very hard to overcome my first two days here and then coupled with drinkin' it did a number on me.

Minsk is not like Kiev where you are seeing thousands of people on one main street (like Kreschatik) walking around all the time. The ol' town area in front of Holy Spirit Cathedral is a good place to day-game. Lot's of benches with for families and girls to sit around and high traffic area (partly tourists).

The girl with whom I spent some time walking around told me that locals love walking around shopping centres; Europa shopping centre and Stolica seemed to have potential.

As for myself I did "morning-game" with a local guy I met at one of the bars by Nyamiha metro which has a large underpass going in all directions with a multitude of people. Neither him nor I succeeded even though we were dressed sharp and did our approaches in Russian. The week that I've been here has been brutally cold, people are literally running for cover. It has rained, and temperatures have plunged into the 40's in the evening, daytime it has been in the low 50's without much sun!

Absolutely miserable conditions so although I walked all over Minsk I didn't really see too many girls sitting on benches in Parks or just wandering by themselves, people seem to be in a hurry, closed off, and in a relatively sour mood. Also, very many young girls (we are talking 15-19 age) and the women who seem in their 20's very frequently had kids in tow.

Best bet IMHO is to approach girls outside cafe's who are taking smoking "breaks" or bored female vendors. I got a girls number this way near Palace of Sport unfortunately I did not do enough day-game to make a proper observation. I think around 20 approaches should be minimum to get a good idea of the place.

Daygame is also hard because English knowledge is very low, cracking jokes and using some of the language nuisances in Russian is not easy. Out of all the girls I've met and approached I only remember one speaking passable English. Also, I mentioned earlier that things go very slowly here, the girls are in no hurry to set-up dates. Converting day-game into immediate date might be hard. Both girls i met wanted to have follow-up dates 3 days in advance and had reasons (legit though) why they couldn't see me quicker. I didn't mind too much though as I spent time sightseeing the city, visiting museums, and working out.

Met up with forum members inostranec and Partizan (now living in Minsk) and they both confirmed my observations that "you have to be locally based" to get high quality and a relationship with the girls. If one expects just to fly our here for 5 days and meet women immediately for bangin' then they will be disappointed. Even the provincial girl I met on the second night of going out I could tell was extremely disappointed that I was here for a week even though we clicked very well. I almost suspect she did not want to have follow-up dates because of the fact that I was leaving so quickly while she was looking for an LTR.

Thanks, unlike Kiev I had no shit tests here when pulling my US passport and getting the girls to examine it. Sometimes I had to "qualify" myself though as I look local and none of them can guess my Russian accent properly. They especially liked the Caribbean country stamps that I have. Also, I think I look better in my passport photo than I do in real life (as it was taken nearly 10 years ago) when I was a young chap so works well with the ladies, makes them curious. I know carrying a passport is not advisable as I do a lot of night game but I've still been taking that risk. In Moscow I might have to resort to carrying paper copies of it as I'm sure I may run into a gopnik or two and you never know what may happen with those drunks.

On another subject I am sitting here in my Minsk apt. getting my paperwork ready to depart for Moscow and doing a bit of pipelining. Just had a call from one of the girls I went out with last wednesday and she says she wants to meet up...my plane leaves in 2 hours and taxi is downstairs. It just sucks that time is such a limiting factor when it comes to all these EE trips. After traveling to this region for the better part of the last 5 years I am starting to develop and opinion that staying in one place for anything less than 2 weeks is not worth it. Sure, I could have had a minimum of 3 SNL's but 1 would have been an off-duty stripper and 2 semi-pros and I just don't do that.
2 other girls I went out on dates with (one met pipelining on fdating.com, the other at a club) required follow-up dates which I ran out of time to do. Another girl I met night/day-gaming (met her outside café at 6am) wanted to meet for a date next week and text game just broke down. So far very unimpressed with Moscow. Perhaps because it is too cold to do anything around here but it was so cold that I even ended buying an overpriced Italian leather coat on Tverskaya Ul. as I was coming down with a cold.

I'm not seeing anywhere near the number of stunners I saw in Kiev or even Minsk. Also in Kiev & Minsk you have something poppin' every night of the night and the women have that "desperate look" to women. I am not getting that vibe at all here in Moscow. Not really seeing too many stunners on the streets. Park-game is non-existent. Made one day-game approach by Kremlin but she had a man. So far I am batting 1 for 1 on night approaches...but just don't have the effort. Perhaps Minsk sapped all my energy last week. Here a supposedly "happening bar in Moscow on Monday's" near old Rabat (called Papi's Place) had like 15 people in the place and the few girls on the dance floor looked very young.

If things don't get any better tonight I might just resign myself to mostly online game.
