I've just spent a month in Thailand. It's my first long Asian trip since discovering this site and the realities of the World.

The overwhelming impression when I got home was just how incredibly fat everyone is; the contrast is amazing and depressing in equal measure.

Also, and this is something I had never really noticed before, is how unfeminine and angry all the women here seem to be. Their faces are always contorted into an aggressive posture. In my first day back trundling about on the roads I had two women mouth "twat" at me for no apparent reason and another honk her horn for about a mile because my car was too big for her to overtake on a small residential road.

Despite loving my country and being immensely proud of its history and heritage, I am, for the first time ever, seriously considering relocating elsewhere. That in itself makes me more depressed.

As soon as I step foot into a US airport I notice:

Fat chicks everywhere.
Ugg boots, sweatpants, and no pride in personal appearance.
Unkempt hair and minimal effort put into makeup, hair, nails in general.
An extreme lack of femininity.
An extreme abundance of surly attitudes and women talking as if they were men. Cursing like sailors.
Depression, sadness and thoughts of suicide........oh wait, that was me.

These post SEA blues combined with jet lag and a fucked up circadian cycle on top of seeing fat and surly chicks everywhere, while getting texts from beautiful sweet filipinas 9,000 miles out of reach... not a fun combination.

You don't have to put me on a pedestal, but I appreciate. The secret is just simple physical conditioning and a sensible health regiment. Being tall helps, too. I think the alcohol starts diffusing into my body before it ever hits my liver.

I lived in France for four years and even though it is a neighbour of the UK, when I returned, I was struck by the:

*heavier women,
*the permanent surly faced expression of the women,
*no eye contact, smiling, winking or low-level flirting in the street but women bowing their heads and lowering their eyes to the pavement when passing a man,
*the perceived cold aloofness being replaced on weekend evenings with shameless drunken flirting,
* the affect the class system has on women's quality and hypergamic tastes.

I missed France for ages so I can only imagine what the come-down from an Asian tour would feel like!

CleanSlate, great trip report! I'm a new member and really enjoyed the read! Sounds like you had a blast with the pinays!!!

I have never been married or divorced. However, I recently broke up with my ex-gf after living together for 2 years. Things went bad and I am glad to be rid of her. I decided the best next step was my first game-trip to the Philippines! I will arrive on Manila on June 26 and will be in country for 3 weeks! I am so excited!

I will start a new thread to report on my adventures! Can't wait to spend some quality time with Pinays in person! I've enjoyed chatting with them on Filipino Cupid and Skype.

I really have to wonder what % of filippinas have kids with some foreigner who just bounced.

Do you meet many girls who are half pinay half something else whose dad just went back to his country?

Very few. Though many will claim to have some "Spanish" in them, which is a fucking lie

Subic Bay was a huge American base up until 1992, had been a strategic station for almost a hundred years after taking it off the Spanish in the late 1800's.

Spent a few trips there in the late 80's. Good times!

Many of the young Pinays Mothers or Grandmothers will certainly have had children of mixed race, mainly recognised with taller height with more western features.
