I stopped being a catholic long time ago but I still got angry about this heresy.

It's safe to assume that with these words the catholic church officially has betrayed it's male adherents worldwide. The traditional bastion of virtue that stood for two millenia has fallen. If you are a man or if you have any conservative or family values then you have no more mainstream allies in the world anymore.

I predict that if this pope stays or his successor continues his rhetoric that in 5 or 10 years we will hear something similar form the (un)holy see:

I don't know about Catholicism, but with Episcopalism and Anglicanism it is already there. My MOM, an avowed feminist in much of a similar way to Hillary Clinton, is currently in Divinity school. Just to get in she had to write several papers on equalist/progressive/feminist/multiculturalist topics about privilege and so on. Also, one of her professors is a FTM tranny. All of her professors are hardcore leftists, some as far left as actual communists. The Methodist church isn't far behind either, my grandmothers church had a female priest for over a decade and that is here in the bible belt.

Eh, pretty much every Pope - every Christian leader in fact - talks nonsense about economics. Because it's a subject they don't understand. They are well-meaning, but ignorant.

Popes used to be cool.

My favourite is Pope Sixtus V. He was a Badass Pope, his most famous saying was "while I live, every criminal must die."

Some context: in the 16th century the Pope wasn't just a religious leader, he was also the lord of the Papal States. When Sixtus was elected, the Papal States were plagued with lawlessness and you couldn't travel very far without being robbed or murdered. Sixtus said "fuck that":

- the majority of alter "boys" are now girls
- the majority of the children's choir is girls
- the majority of the people running the social programs/groups are women
- the majority of the people sitting in pews are women
- the majority of the people signing up for RCIA class are women
- the person running the RCIA class is a woman
- etc.

The Pope is pandering to his main audience: women

Well, he's right for the wrong reason. Economic stresses are a huge, if not the single biggest problem with marriages.

But that's because it's very, very unusual for a man to be able to support a wife and children just from his own earnings alone, whereas prior to the 1970's it was the norm.

Here's where the red pill comes in that we will never see explained from the mainstream. The problem is not just this, but it also forces the wife to take a masculine role and work, often outearning her husband in the process.

1. Women do not want to take on a masculine role in relation to a man.
2. Women want a man that is higher in status than them (most often translated as earning more).

These two things make the vajayjay dry and thus the inevitable divorce without any consequences.

So yes, he's right, but he doesn't bring up these social realities that are attached. It's again looking entirely at economics and ignoring the social implications. How modern, I suppose.

Personally though, I'd be more embarrassed that this Pope is actively calling on more invaders to come into Europe, whereas the Church and the Papacy were once the foremost defenders of European borders.

I was really beginning to like this Pope, he's been a staunch advocate of reconciliation between the mainstream scientific community and the Church, something 2-3 centuries overdue. He's also rejected the "fire and brimstone" and "repent or burn in hell" messaging popular within the Catholic establishment, focusing instead on outreach for the poor and community service in developing countries.

But on gender issues and gay "rights", he's crossed so many lines it's hard to know where to begin. A religion that abandons its own theology ceases to be a religion.

The kind of Christianity I respect is that of men of like Sam Childers, who put his life and fortunes on the line by going to an impoverished war torn Sudan to build an orphanage for kids and actually fights the LRA to protect those kids and save even more from those bloody bastards.

It's a muscular Christianity instead of the weeping feminine nonsense that's peddled the world over. You know the type, the out of context "turn the other cheek" garbage where meek martyrdom and suffering is the highest honor.

It disgusts me to my core to read about how ISIS and other terrorist groups are killing Christians left and right with no real repercussions or response.

Anyone who's read the Bible from cover to cover would know that God often uses nature, tribes, and people to punish and slay the wicked.

I'll convert to Catholicism the day the Pope sends the Swiss Guard to kill a bunch of barbarous pieces of shit.

This feel-good crap in mainstream churches is why fewer men are attending. They really are like Oprah or the Dr. Oz show. They cater to the same demographic.

No thank you. The mainstream scientific community is highly politicized and to the left of Lenin. The mainstream scientific community is more the heirs to Pope Urban VIII than they are to Galileo. Even that analogy is not a particularly a good one as Galileo made some miscalculations himself and he actually had quite a bit of support in the hierarchy of the Church at the time. As far as Pope Francis goes just one more nail in the coffin of the Church I grew up in. One can only look in equal measures of awe and disgust as all the main pillars of Western Civilization self destruct.

Christianity built Western civilization by forcing everyone to conform to their standards. Now the Church conforms to the culture in hopes of maintaining its income stream. The Cardinals are old, conservative and dyed-in-the-wool reactionary-they know without having to be told this pope could lose them plenty of followers in the Mediteranean and Latin America. Nobody swallows the myth of papal infallibility any more, and they won't give it any credibility when the Pope is so abjectly fallible a leader.

I think the Pope likes the limelight and is trying to bring attention on himself. He seems to weigh in on every media created 'issue' in the world whether its immigration or now apparently pay stubs.

He was elected to galvanize more Hispanics to go to church but he's taken on the populist SJW narrative to get more women in the doors.

I was deeply religious from my childhood until about 19 so it makes me nostalgic and a little mad this is happening.
