In Lviv for the weekend, skipped Kharkiv really tempted to fly in for next weekend just to get a feel for the place. Been to Odessa and Kiev so far. My question is do I need to check out Kharkiv or another Eastern City? Are the girls and their attitudes that much better. Flights are £25.

Kharkov is not a bad city, in terms of girls Kiev is easier and more chicks speak English. If you are into clubbing, then it's quite lively, although will need a wingman as there are few Western tourists and Expats there.

I don't know if I can recommend travelling all the way across the country to check it out. Same goes for Dnepropetrovsk, nightlife is lively too there but has little else to offer.

Remember Kharkov has lower spoken English and also girls are not quite as open as in Kiev.

Ok thanks man, I think I will combine with a trip I am planning next year. Kalingrad- Minsk- Kharkiv and then Odessa for the summer!

Yes really cheap flights on skyscanner with Ukraine International, I flew from Kiev to Lviv today for 20.

I wanted to love Kiev and Odessa but it seems its just not the season for either. I knew this would be the case for Odessa hence the reason I am going back for the summer, just stopped on my way from Moldova. Kievs weather was depressing, this combined with it being large unremarkable looking city did not quite do it for me despite meeting the girls and going to some impressive clubs, hotties seem to look themselves inside instead of facing the cold. Anyone in Kiev needs to check out the citys latest hotspot - CHI NIGHTCLUB. (One of the best quality clubs I have been to in 49 countries, girls and music)

Lviv looks like it will meet my high expectations of Ukraine, beautiful city, vibrant centre and large university. Hugely impressed with quality all over the city today.
