I will be living/working out of Nashville for 2-3 months starting May 1st - July 31st.
I've read mixed reviews about the city on here but I've always felt there's a lot of talent out there - especially with the Vandy scene as well as the city being a major health care hub. Not to mention the online opportunities.
I'm looking at places in Midtown close to all the action and once settled would love to meet up with anyone in the Nashville area of visiting there soon. If anyone has any latest feedback, reports or data on Nashville, please chime in!!

^ I go to nashville a few times a year and live elsewhere in TN. Its a growing city, formerly like the hollywood of country music where people would go to get famous. Now its a hipster paradise and place where well off go to be with others like them. Prepare for good looking girls with shallow christian values. Those ubiquitous riding boots and nasally southern accents and debutant like judgements.

Its an Ok city, but certainly not a midriff baring, mega drawling, "I ain't got no daddy" paradise like 2nd tier TN and southeastern towns.

A Nashville, Charlotte, Memphis typical pretty girl is pretty much a clone of Emily from the Bachelorette. Bitch attitude, single motherhood and church hypocrisy...but good looking



Whereas a East TN, Southeast Kentucky, North Georgia, North Florida and anywhere Mississippi and Alabama stereotypical hot girl looks like this...for about 5 years before meth, kids or cigarettes catch up with her.




See the key, is that you start getting stuck up bitches as soon as you can say the city where they are from..when they are from an area that is only referred to be region, because its so backwater, thats when their papaw can't beat the white trash out of them if he wanted to. Which is more my preference than the debutante type.

I'll be in Nashville for fan fair and the CMA awards tonight and tomorrow tonight. I'll post my experience here afterwards.

It was my firsttime gaming in Nashville this past weekend and I had a blast. I was staying at the homewood suites/hilton which is roughly 4 blocks away from broadway. Not the best logistics but on such a short notice it worked for me. The rooms are surprisingly nice and the price was 169 for a night. However, the valet charge is tacked onto the room so it went up to 200.

I started the night getting a feel of broadway and stopped in to grab some food where I met a couple from texas who gave me the scoop on where to go during the CMA's. After that I talked a scalper down from 280 to 200 for a ticket to LP field and proceeded to watch the show. I wasn't impressed with the music but in the smoking section there was plenty of opportunity. This is where my night got fun.

LP Field.
I was shooting the shit with a few people in the smoking section and a group of girls approached us and from that point it was on. Girls here roll in larger than normal groups so the first two asked for a smoke and a light which I responded with "damn you need a lung too?" they started laughing and it set the tone for the night with them. Two brunettes and two blondes, I swooped the youngest brunette and my insta-wing took the blonde. We made our way to tootsies which was packed as hell.

Tootsies.
Tootsies recently underwent some renovations so it now has an midfloor/bar where the music doesn't vibrate your body and is generally more relaxed than downstairs or upstairs. The women here are in one of two categories, old and reliving their glory days or young college girls looking to get a selfie with whatever famous country music star decides to roll in. It was nice to see some of the history of nashville's music scene on the walls there. Drinks are 8 a pop and you should tip the bartender 5 before getting anything so the service is good. All in all this is a great place to start the night.

Legends-
Has a dance floor, but it was mainly old couples doing the two-step, and college groups doing cotton head road etc. Not typically my gig but when in Nashville...,etc. Didn't stay long and then headed to laylas.

Layla's
This is where I ended the night and was by far the most laid back spot. They say they close at 3 but it's more like 2:30. Unless you're already with a group I wouldn't recommend it. Drinks are 8 a pop as well and less watered down than other bars. The bands there are not well known but decent and they don't endlessly replay/cover the top hits like Tootsies and Legends. We stayed downstairs but there is an upstairs.

If I hadn't met a chick at the CMA's I would have gone back to tootsies. At last call we walked down tootsies alley back to the hotel and their were groups of college girls smoking and sitting on the curb waiting for some charming SOB to swoop them. They'll ask you where you're going and basically whether you have booze at your room and don't mind a third wheel. I was already with a girl and didn't have enough booze for two more and wanted to get down to business but if you plan ahead you have a good shot at pulling a threesome/foursome.

+1 notch with a 7 fresh out of college, walking back from tootsies wasn't that bad on such a busy night because there are a lot of people heading back, but on a less busy night I would recommend taking a taxi or uber.
