That's all well and good, but if she had a seizure in the middle of a speech and then decided to drop out due to health reasons, that wouldn't bode well for Trump. It would be a huge pity party from the media, followed by Joe Biden coming out as the "incredible, fresh new candidate that people can finally feel comfortable choosing over Trump."

Is this a recent thing or has Catholicism been a hindrance on western civilization for centuries? I have never read Max Weber "The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism" maybe that is a good start.

Not that the Republicans asked the right questions, etc but from a stamina perspective she held up pretty well. Unless of course her condition has materially deteriorated since the Banghazi hearing but that was only 10 months ago. Any thoughts?

Armed with junk science and old photos, critics question #HillarysHealth

At the same time, the Drudge Report, WorldNetDaily and a small army of would-be Twitter sleuths tried to build the case that the Democratic nominee for president has serious health issues and only they had noticed. Clinton's age and health had been subject to parody by some conservative media, but the new speculation was completely serious.
So of course. Now the story gets more coverage & a few folk might pause & reflect...
Fucking geniuses at WaPo are playing right into Mike's frame....they never learn.Quote:Cernovich's speculation started with an incident from last week, when Clinton was campaigning in Las Vegas. Mid-speech, she paused and narrowed her eyes to look at protesters. Secret Service Assistant Special Agent in Charge Todd Madison rushed to her side, telling her that the situation was under control, and that she could keep talking

So he is SS. Doubt the guy keeps a "LinkedIn" page to let us see if he has a medical background or education. More info needed, now that he is named I am sure internet sleuths will come up with more details.

In the early days of the schism, Catholicism was aristocratic, and Protestantism was petit bourgeois.
People who could afford educations knew Latin and didn't care about informing the masses about Meshkemahoolazash and the parable of the ripe berries (of sin.)
But the uneducated, ambitious lower middle class resented being left out, and ended up making a bigger deal out of the Old Testament than the entire Middle Ages ever did.
Being your own priest was about as appealing to nobles as being their own valets.
"Conscience? Can't Father John take care of that? I have a ball and a duel to attend. Roast a swan for my victorious return."
But people with a little money and a little free time found themselves with hours they could still not afford to fill. Dissecting their own consciences gave them something to do.
And so on. The Puritans of England were far more socialistic in their behaviour than the Catholic-sympathising Cavaliers.
In fact, they really represent the full bloom of Protestantism, which was the original ideology, the belief that we could strip away all tradition and live "naturally," but really in an artificial system constructed by the power-hungry.
I wish I could support the modern Church, but the history of that cultural war is at least instructive.

This is on point.
And I say this as someone who despises most Catholics, and who was raised in a Protestant church (where most people were really solid, dependable, successful folks who were pretty damn red pill).
Always look to the fruit of the tree. One such example is comparing the near-perfect beauty of Catholic churches and art, with the high school gym looking protestant churches and their funding of youth missions for brats to go to Europe and Latin America to "do skateboard outreach for Jesus".
Again, I find the Protestants I have met to be more interested in their own religion and healthier and happier. So that also counts as fruit. But gotta look at everything.
The pro-aristocratic positioning of the Catholic church speaks well in its favor.
