I was in thailand for a month during Christmas and new year period, basicly Patong , phiphi, koh samui and bangkok. It was my third time in thailand, and my first in phi phi, basicly i booked 3 nights at phi phi anita resort and end up extending 2 more nights, their deluxe rooms are perfect for 140$, very modern, nice pool , 2 min from the beach bars and you can still get some sleep.

Phi phi was a nice surprise for me, it s very easy for me to score in patong but i was worried to do so in a more backpacker destination not really my comfort zone.

First night i ventured out around 11, started to check the different beach bars and the silly fire shows and fire games, it has a good vibe but pretty much repetitive, so went to get drinks at the bar, absolute/sprite was at 180 baht very cheap compared to patong, i don t like local vodka anyways tipping the bartenders 50- 100 baht each round made me some friends real quick, so after getting drinks got closer to the fire games where you can watch every girl in the bar in a circle and the quality and quantity of girls in each bars keep changing during the night, so basically i was going to the one who has the most girls, soon i stroke conversation with a Brazilian girl a 7 with fake boobs, she had 2 friends with her from singapore, offered her and her friends drinks, in a matter of minutes we were dancing and kissing and it was a done deal, had few more drinks with her friends and we left to my room, anyways she was great but lucky me she had a day trip planned the next day to sleep on the sand on maya bay and i really didn t want to be stuck with her, anyways i saw her after a week in bangkok to spend one more night together.

Second night, since there was no gym over there decided to get some nice few hours of kayaking to get a nice pump and do some day game, after the long kayak session, i went for some tanning and had a conversation with this cute brunette Australian chick, she was by herself and it was her first day, after an hour i invited her for lunch and then for a swim in my hotel pool and straight to my room, she was a freak in bed and i decided to go out at night with her.

Third night i lost her during the day which is great because i wanted to try something else, back to hunting in the beach bars, saw 3 hot swedish girls dancing on a table and one of them was staring, i didn t go right away , instead i chatted with an american chick next to me, which pissed her off, anyways she disappeared, but that s no problem in phi phi you ll find them again, so after an hour i went for another bar and here she was, one of her friends actually came to me and started chatting and told me her friend liked me but thought i am arrogant and i should talk to her, after few more rounds of vodka i was table dancing with these 3 chicks, a few guys tried to approach but not knowing which one is mine, they kept distance, anyways a brazilian guy came and asked me which one i liked and asked me to hook him with one of her friends, anyways i introduced him to her friends and it was easier to pull mine, so i told her let s go to my room and she was down, sex with her wasn t that good and i couldn t get rid of her, anyways she stayed until the next morning.

Fourth the night i stroke out, i was getting tired of the beach bars so turned on tinder and got few matches , exchanged few messages with an irish girl and we met after 30 min, we went to few bars and everything was smooth until i run into a n american girl that i spent 2 nights with in patong, gosh and she made a scene how i played her, and she thought there was a real thing between us, with tears and crap, well my tinder friend was really pissed and she said she needs to go back, anyways i wanted to avoid that psycho so i went back to my room by myself.

Fifth night was my last before i head back and spend new year in patong and i really wanted to score no matter what, so i was walking between the beach bars trying to find something i like and i stumble in a german girl that was sitting near in the ferry, so i went and talked to her , anyways she told me she was with her bf but they had a fight, offered her a bucket and i moved on her, she was very hesitant but then she started kissing me and asked me where is my room, she wanna go to my room and so it was.

Next day i took a speedboat for a 1000 baht back to patong.
I found phi phi very interesting flag wise, but very repetitive. If you are ripped and have a nice body you have 50 % more chance to score, the competition will be mainly the aussi and few american guys that live there and work in the bars and organize those fire games, but i intimidated couple of them, one of them was dancing too close to my girl , i told him he had 10 seconds to disappear before i kick his ass and he did, these guys won t have a chance in normal clubs but over there they have game, but don t let them try to cross you.

I am 29. 6.2 , 95 kilos, muscular and ripped, i usually do good in beach destinations and big clubs where i can have my table.
But i was worried about phi phi since it has a backpacker community, and i did tons of research before going, my hotel was a stone throw from all those beach bars which was a huge plus.
What worked for me i guess, i didn t waste time in one bar , i was always on the move, trying to spot who is available and who is not, looking for an eye contact around those circle of fire games and i wasn t opening up to any before i was kind of sure that she is giving a sign or that she is available. There is some hot girls working in those bars, but i didn t waste time, most of these hot swedish 18 year old chicks already have a bf who works in the same bar ( local or foreigner), well their job was attracting more guys to the bar and participating in those fire games and motivating others, they are friendly but the chance of pulling them is very low, my advice don t waste your time.

Curious enough all the girls i scored are my age category (27 -30 ), most of the people over there are on a budget, trying to stretch their vacation the longest possible. So my strategy basically offering a girl and her friends drinks, befriending her friends so no one blocks you later on, take her to another bar and separate her from her friends, more drinks, grab a bite and pull her to my very close hotel and it worked, btw the bathrooms are horrible in those beach bars and having your hotel 2 minutes away was always a good excuse to go to your room, if she says she wants to use the bathroom and tell her my hotel is 100 meter away and it s clean, or if she is a bit tired also the hotel proximity was a good idea to tell her let s rest a bit in my room and we ll go back to the party.

Other then the guys working in those bars i didn't see any real competition, avoid places like dojo and banana, mostly regulars and people who live in the island, so pulling chances are pretty low.

I read so much mixed reviews about phi phi that i was worried to go at first, and now i can t wait to be back next year.
My conclusions :
- Phi phi has lots of flags
- Being fit helps a lot, you ll be shirtless most of the time over there.
- Get a local sim card, tinder works.
- hotel location very important
- Don't bother going to the beach bars before 11, and keep jumping around between them.

Interesting stuff man. I have similar stats (although not quite as tall) and had a very similar experience in early December- was on Phi Phi for 5 nights (Originally 3, and extended to 5 like yourself) and definitely found it to be my niche. The only issue is I was rolling solo and other than the 3 hours between 11pm-2am, which were some of the best times I've had in my life, found myself quite bored on the island. I ended up hanging around in a shitty room waiting for those hours to come around again lol there's only so much sun you can handle and the women were always in groups during the day. If there were more to do during the day I could spend weeks there just for the beach parties.

Adrenaline, i totally agree about how boring it was during the day, was also running solo, and i personally can t do more then a week in phi phi, i tried to find a sort of routine every day, kayaking, walking around and a sunset trip to maya bay which was pretty good for socializing. If i go again next year i ll go the last week of december and move to patong for new year's eve.

Christmas/new years period on Phi Phi Don may be a good idea come to think of it. All the competition will be on Koh Phangan for the Full Moon parties and you'll have a lot of the more reserved girls to game on Phi Phi. That may be why you noticed a lack of competition in that period last year.

No idea what you see in Patong though. I was there for a week in high season and found one decent club (Seduction) with the rest of Bangla Road full of Go-Go bars and freak shows, unless I'm missing something? Would much rather be on an island.

Well Seduction is the only club i go to, i have my own table reserved most of my vacation, i know the manager the staff, and it s so easy to pick up russians, once you become friend with the staff , they actually bring me girls to my table, tipping can go a long way.
Well having your bottle and table cost anything between 120$ and 170$ depending on what you drink tipping around 20$ a night, you may consider this a lot but look at it this way, to get in you pay 500 baht, each drink cost around 300 and very diluted so having 5 to 6 drinks and entrance you are already at 70$, add to that if you wanna offer few girls a drink or to so here goes a 100$... paying a bit more nd securing a nice table where you can go look around and invite girls to your table or even better tipping a staff to do so and not wasting time ordering drinks seems very logical to me, the quality of girls is higher then phi phi in my opinion and so many russians, but dont bother going before christmas because they start coming after 20 december. With the right contacts inside, you can even meet pro strip dancers who works in moulin rouge and they go after party in seduction and you can even score with them for free. I am sure patong isn t everyone s cup of tea, but i have a thing for russian girls and it s the best place to find them during winter. Unlike phi phi so many things to do during the day, MMA / thai boxing training, shopping in jungcylon, taking a day trip, there is no shortage of day activities in patong which makes it one of my favorite winter destinations.

Phi Phi is a great island, the price are decent for a touristic place in the south of Thailand.

I did not get the chance to game a lot while I was there because I was sick but it indeed has potential to flag hunting.

I don't think it is great to pick up Thai chick though.

As mentioned above, It is very small so it get boring quickly especially during the day, I am wondering what the foreigner working there do for fun.

Esus phi phi main problem is getting a decent AC accomodation, if u want decent you ll have to pay what you ll pay in bangkok for a 5 stars, it s easy to get sick from the water and the food in phi phi.


Kamaki well koh samui would be on my avoid list, i was staying in ARK bar when i was there, first of all the flags consist of 3 nations in this order, Israel, brittish and aussies, the rest of the flags are barely represented. Israelis are very hard and they come in a group and stay in the same group. The only club there is worth going to green mango was a disaster in my opinion.

Patong beach is close to pattaya in terms of working girls and strip bars, it s a small red light district. But it has the single russian girls factor storming it every december, january (to escape their harsh winter), i would only go during that period. I have never scored so many russian chicks available in one place like i did in patong and i am at 30+ countries, these girls wants to score as much as we do, you just need to approach them right, and as we said earlier only club worth it is seduction, the rest i wouldn t waste 10 min inside. If you are not in russians, well aussie girls are on the hunt there, and you don t have to do anything they ll approach you. I am very curious to hear your experience in patong and phi phi?

Yes, you arrive at the door, tell them you want a table , they will call the floor manager and you ll pay for your bottle downstairs grey goose is 4900 baht, normal vodka is like 3500 somehting like that. Ask for a table under the vip area (at the far end of the club) , they are 6 small round tables just under the vip area, i found those the most strategic, you get a nice view of everything. Well about warming up, either you can go to tiger disco where bunch of bar girls are dancing drinks averaging between 180-300, a lot of tourist hang out there 2 , or if you want to see some naked flesh before clubbing you can go to one of the strip bars to get in the mood, 2 choices here 2 , the ones in soi dragon like devilsground, play school also same drink prices, nice shows no rip off, girls drink is like 200 baht would open your appetite for clubbing later on, as for the russian strip joints like moulin rouge, i don t advise 2 go, drinks are like 350 baht, each time a girl go on stage she will turn around and ask for tips and they are rude about there tips.
If you still want to party after 3.30 your only option left is hollywood disco, lots of working girls though.
Btw it s low season now, i am sure you know that.

That would be true if it were the fat, beastly white women made famous in Western countries, or the sloppy, hippies you see on Khao San Road, but the white girls on the islands are quality! Mostly hot Europeans, a few South Americans and even the Aussies, Americans and Brits are decent. I would target the white girls of Phi Phi over Asians any day. Afterall, why would women come to a place where they're required to be half naked 24/7 unless they're fit?

Ah, Phi Phi island was one of the best experiences of my life which started out as a nightmare. The long and short of it is; I lost my wallet and most of my possessions the first night I was there. I had to get a bar job at a Swedish joint there for free accommodation and a free meal a day while simultaneously saving up for my boat ticket back to the main island. I was getting the equivalent of £6 a day while being forced to sh*t in a hole, only having access to cold water to shower, live in a room the size of 2 billiards tables with 2 bunk beds which slept 4 people and having no air condition in blistering heat. Surprisingly I absolutely loved my 2 weeks there.

If you're in good shape you'll be in your element. I'll try and explain the ease of which I slept with at least new girl daily without hopefully making you think it's a shallow attempt at boasting. I'd work at night getting free cocktails in the process. Seat all the coolest people in the bar together and banter with them whenever I got the chance. When my shift would end around 11; I'd take this group of about 30 people to all the different bars getting more free drinks in the process with the social proof of the gods and then proceed to the beach. The beach was my main bang spot if not a little bit creepy. Thai men would sometimes be watching from some crazy spots so you had to have your wits about you. I'd feel like a bull in those weird cuckold porn flicks. My main aim at the end of the night was to try and find the most acceptable girl with the best room so I could have a good nights sleep and a decent breakfast the next morning. This was the hard part. Girls would be willing to let me hang out the back of them on the beach but getting them to invite me back was like a whole new level of game.

I could go on and on about Phi Phi as writing and reminiscing about it brings back so many awesome memories. I mainly slept with Scandinavian women, around the age of 18-23 and on some occasions I said less than 20 words to them. If you have any more questions or want me to divulge some more information about my experiences I'd be more than willing to answer them.

I got food poisoning on Phi Phi (went back to a much better hotel room in Ao Nang to recuperate, for the same price as the truly shitty room I stayed in on Phi Phi).

Also at 38 I was definitely too old to find the nightlife enjoyable there (went out and got blisteringly drunk with my British hotel neighbor one of my nights there, that was enough for me), and quickly ran out of pretty sights to see during the day.

Chiang Mai and Bangkok - and Thai girls rather than other tourists - were by far my favorite destinations in Thailand (Bangkok not so much the first time, but it grew on me quickly when I returned some weeks later).
The beaches and surrounding areas were for me only good for some nice photos. As far as I'm concerned beach vacations are for couples, families and people still young enough to want to party several nights in a row (I hit my limit there in my late 20s).

Well food poisoning/ water is very common, you just have to know which restaurants to eat, i ate all the time at cosmic restaurant huge selection, amazing prices, and pretty clean.

Accommodation sucks as you said, but if you decide to go again try phi phi anita resort (their new deluxe rooms) for 4000 baht in peak season, way less in normal season are more then great.

I agree with you, bangkok is a lot better for late 30s, never been to Chang mai though but it s more of cultural destination then gaming.

Anyone been to Koh Phi Phi Island lately?
Is it basically just western girls partying?
Would it be okay for asian-americans to party there or is it primarily for western people?
It sounds like a really fun place to party and pull girls.

Just switched my Timer location to Phi Phi, TH. God damn, there are tons of Scandinavian beauties there.
Never been to Scandinavia due to outrages costs of living but this island looks promising to capture some flags on budget.

Went to Phi Phi 4 years ago, as a then 28 year old I felt 10 years older then everybody there, it looked like 3/4 of people partying on that island would not past the smell test to get into a 21+ club in the USA.

Def a BYOB (bring your own bitch) situation.

Thought it was lame and artificial vibe, kinda like full moon party that never ends, all the dudes 6"4 linebacker 19 year old aussies, and all the chicks westerners all fat an out of shape. There were some cuties but mostly with boyfriends. Virtually zero Thai girls unless they are being sponsored by some western dude who took her out there, the price would make it impossible for 99.9% of thai girls to afford on their own. Theres a few village girls working in the shops, did not really talk to them

I'd say Phi Phi is a pass, Ko Samui would be better suited for single guy, but I typically take a pass on thai islands altogether since I want to surf, so if I do beach days in SE asia its gonna be in Indonesia, the majority of my time spent in Bangkok and occasionally Chiang mai, Bangkok especially is great all around (food, dating, nightlife, though thats taken a hit last few years)

Could be nice place to bring a thai girl but i think there are better and cheaper options for that too.

i can hands down say Phi Phi has the most competitive vibe than any other place on earth, its not for a place for a average looking guy .... its a very difficult place to get laid imo.. its like they put all model guys on the same island.
