I'm rolling through Budapest with a couple other guys for the next week or so. We got here on Thursday night and have had a wild couple of days.

Not blogging about it on my own blog because I'm obviously not to keen to have my girl in LA read about it. I wrote about the lead up to that here: http://thisistrouble.com/2015/04/06/you-...ys-do-you/

To set the field, the guys I'm here with are Jeremy and Lucky. Jeremy is also from SoCal and Lucky from the UK. I've been out with Jeremy a few times in SoCal and Lucky stopped by when he was in the US; we also went to Wroclaw last year and had a great time.

Without further ado:

Day 1

Jeremy and I landed at about 8:00pm Budapest time after 14 hours in transit. Take the cab to the city center and get the keys to our AirBNB pad. We're about a ten second walk from Szimpla. After reading Slubu's epic Budapest thread (/thread-38747.html) and having him and other guys vouch for Szimpla, I'm stoked that we're literally right next door.

Lucky shows up about an hour later and we stock up on booze and food at the grocery store. After a quick meal and a few shots we roll down to Szimpla.

There's just nothing quite like it that I've seen anywhere. I made several laps of the place just in completely in awe of the talent and venue itself.

Lucky has some pretty good dance moves and he hooks a French girl. I open and hook a set of two girls, both teachers from Greece. I send the brunette over to Jeremy by just pointing at him and shooing her away from her blonde friend.

She's really into me and touching me, etc...but then I make the mistake of dropping my real age - 23. And it turns out...she's 40. Simply shocking, all 3 of us agreed she looked 28 at most. In reality I probably need to just start lying to all girls and tell them I'm 27 or 28. With my current facial hair I can pull it off, especially when I'm rocking blazers like I plan to do for most of this trip.

So that interaction dies down.

Next up is a bachelorette party composed of girls from the UK. Bleh. They're definitely not top shelf talent but several of them were giving us eye contact so fuck it. I get into a conversation with the engaged one and I start getting the sense that she's definitely looking to get dicked by some stranger one "last" time. I have to admit, things with this conversation got kind of hazy for me at this point. Eventually we got bored and bounced.

At this point it's approaching 2am, and since I can't sleep on planes I'm really on my last legs. But there's two beautiful girls so I go open with a "hey". They're receptive - one is from Mexico, one from Korea. Both are in the fashion industry in Milan. I take the Mexican and pass the Korean to Lucky. The Mexican is really into me - I lived in San Diego for five years, and obviously LA has a pretty strong Mexican influence. We chit chat and eventually they leave to go to the bathroom. Lucky, being a great guy, somehow goes and pulls two girls back to Jeremy and manages to get back to me before the Milan girls come back.

So, to make sense of it all...

Me - Milan Mexican
Lucky - Milan Korean
Jeremy - Aimi (if it ends in "i"...she's a slut - this will be proven completely true) and a girl with a Lesbian Haircut - both from Scotland

Eventually we bounce out of there with the pretense of going somewhere else. Not sure what happened with Lesbian Haircut, but she disappeared because slutty Aimi told her she wanted to go home with Jeremy. Needless to say once we walk out of Szimpla we just start pushing the apartment instead of another bar and they all agree and come up.

After a round of shots we somehow all manage, with no resistance to isolate to our respective areas - Jeremy and I to our rooms and Lucky to the couch. Nearly as soon as I get the Mexican into my room I get hit with..."I have a boyfriend." Damnit. I tried everything in the book - pinning her down, freezing out, every boyfriend tactic in the book. Nothing worked. Bummer too, she was just my type. About 5'2", 100 pounds - definitely looked like a girl who was in the fashion industry.

Meanwhile, Lucky is banging the Korean on the couch and he nuts all over her face. In apology for not putting out for me, the Mexican offers to go ask if the Korean wants to fuck me, too. I decline.

Jeremy fucks Aimi who then proceeds to pass the fuck out in his bed.

The Milan girls eventually leave after a half hour or so, and Jeremy tries to get Aimi to leave, too. He has no luck with this, so he asks Lucky to try to put her clothes on and get her out so he can get some sleep. Keep in mind, it's now 5am+. So Lucky, being the great guy he is, goes and puts her clothes on. And then takes them off...

Eskimo brothers!

Jeremy and I can hear them from the living room and it's taking everything we can not to bust out laughing. We hide out in my room while Lucky finishes up, and he gets her out the door.

Then Jeremy can't find his phone. We realize she took it; assuming by accident. So Lucky goes sprinting out the door and runs after her for five blocks barefoot, and retrieves the phone. We have a good laugh about this all until about 6:45am when I finally go to bed.

So, on the first night...2 flags for Lucky, 1 for Jeremy...me zero.

There's just no way to describe how absolutely epic this night was. Wish my words did it justice. Needless to say we were all hungover as shit the next morning. If the rest of the trip goes like this, we might need liver transplants when we return to the States.

I wouldnt waste my Weds-Sat nights in Szimpla, Because thats when the Real Hungarian talent comes out to play. They definitely arent in Szimpla. Although in the Summer you can find some really hot girls there.

Awesome first night man, love your detailed writing. But Dmario is right, you got to see the real Hungarian talent and it is not at Szimpla. Don't get me wrong, there is no bar I've ever seen like Szimpla and quite honestly it is hard to beat. But amazingly, Budapest does have bars/clubs that beat it. Hopefully you listened to me about where to go last night!

Day 2

This was last night - Friday. Writing this at two in the afternoon; needless to say, hungover as hell, again.

We didn't do much during the day. Got completely lost during the day because apparently I don't know the difference between east and west. Eventually found our way to the Danube and walked along - usual tourist stuff. Ate at Selfie's Bar and Grill for lunch - not bad food, but a little pricey. I took a nap and then headed out at 9pm for a Tinder date.

I was pretty excited about her, we'd been messaging for a few weeks beforehand. For the record, the paid Tinder with location changer is definitely worth a one month investment to pipeline. She's from Austria, doing an internship in Budapest - and you can tell she just loves Americans.

I texted her early in the day asking when she was free, and told her I'd text her a place after I'd explored a bit. She responded by saying she really had heard really good things about Szimpla if I wanted to check it out.

Well, I suppose I could walk the twenty steps from my front door to Szimpla

I tell her to text me when she arrives. She does, I polish off my already third (ugh) drink and walk down. She looks just as good as her pictures, though she's bundled up quite a bit. I buy two shots and a two vodka Red Bulls for all of $15. Sit next to her and start the usual date routine. She's into it and it just amazes me how pleasant girls here are. Vastly different world than Los Angeles.

Lucky and Jeremy head to Szimpla too about an hour after me.

After two rounds I run the "let's go somewhere else" routine with no intention of going anywhere. After we get outside of Szimpla I say I have to take a piss and I don't want to go back inside - let me just run upstairs to my apartment real quick. She comes right up, I piss and we polish off an entire bottle of champagne. She's not letting me kiss her though so we go back to Szimpla and meet up with Jeremy and Lucky. The four of us now head to Tesla down the street, where our apartment owner actually owns part of it. He's by chance at the door, so gets us in and with a free round of shots.

I still haven't kissed the Austrian girl, but she's trying to pick up girls for Jeremy and Lucky.

After a couple more drinks we head out of there and go to Hello Baby - which is pretty far from our apartment but really CLOSE to Austrian girl's place. Actually really liked the club overall, really cool layout and the drinks weren't bad price-wise. Jeremy and Lucky eventually leave after an hour or so because it's over a kilometer walk back to our apartment and Szimpla is just calling their name. I would've liked to try Otkert, Kraft, etc. but was all in on the Austrian girl. In hindsight, should have pushed her to a Sunday night date or something.

At this point I've finally kissed her and she's really into it. We go back to her apartment and she asks if I have a condom. I do...but can't get hard. I try for the next half hour or so but just can't fucking do it. I tried to tally up how many drinks I consumed over the course of the night and I'd put it around 10 vodka tonics, 3 glasses of champagne, and 5 random shots throughout the night. Definitely more than my limit; I'm used to Cali's 1:30am last call.

Didn't get the morning bang either, she was kinda hot and cold towards me when she woke up. We'll see what happens with this one.

Haha Budapest can be such a small place. I'm reading this thread and then it hits me: Those two girls from Milan sent me a request to host them on couchsurfing. I declined. Maybe the was a mistake (!) but I'm glad your friends made their trip memorable.

You picked a great time to come visit. This has been the first bit of summer weather. It's that first stretch of seasonal warmth that makes girls horny and improves the nightlife by leaps and bounds. I suggest you guys grab a bottle of wine or some cans of beer from the grocery store and hit the central square (Deak Ferenc Ter/ Erzsebet ter) at around 9 or 10pm. During weekend nights, it'll be packed with Hungarian girls and tourists, just sitting around having drinks. It's a cool little thing that's unique to Budapest. You can approach girls and find out where they are going later in the night. I took this picture of the main square yesterday afternoon. It was packed. It's like this at nights in summer, especially on the weekend.



As Slubu and D'Mario have mentioned, Szimpla in summer can be spectacular. It really depends on what kind of tourists are in on each particular night. You never know what you're going to get. Sometimes total sausage fest. Sometimes tons of hot girls from Western Europe. The good thing is that there's no cover and you can always bounce to another venue. The city is very walkable.

Avoid Instant.

We just got back from daygaming around the squares. Definitely enjoy the nightlife more here; but gonna try to dedicate a day or two to the day and to give a full report.

I think it works against you because it says you aren't located there and you're "swiping there" on your profile. If you download the "Fake GPS" app you can spoof your location without them knowing you're spoofing it.

I always prefer BoB. Its small the chicks have to get really close to you to get buy, and thats when I make my move. Theres also an extremely good DJ on Thursday if you listen to Hip-Hop. Theres usually some solid 8's in there. Thursday is also models night, but they're usually social circle only, luckily I got in there

Another mention for Hello Baby: I am in no sense a clubber but I had a blast at that place last summer. The atmosphere was one of pure fun: they kept the crowding level just right, the volume just right, the staff were not jerks, and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Good assortment of girls too, from 18 yr old frenetic clubbers up to 30somethings cutting loose for the weekend. The layout/architecture of it would be worth seeing for itself too.

I really love Budapest, wish I could get there more. In my early 20s I was actually.getting pretty good with the language; maybe I'll pick it up again.

You guys also need to get over to Kolor it's great for pre gaming and downstairs can be really good. Godzsdu Udvsr seems to be a favorite pre game spot and it's right down the street from where you are staying. I wouldn't avoid instant completely it goes very late every night so it can be the perfect place to end the night and throw some hail marys.... Only three more weeks and I'm back to BP for more wild times,.

If you're from a place that has high status in the world (like Los Angeles in my case), then no, it definitely doesn't. Especially since I put in my profile that I was thinking about moving to Budapest - which actually is the truth.

Day 3

Alright let's start with the day. The spring festival is going on here now, so seems lots of people out and about. It really is a coming out this week with the weather, we got really lucky. Looks like it may rain on Tuesday so we'll see how that affects things.

Walked around the river and sat in a park for a while. We all made an approach, Lucky closed a smoking Russian girl who was there with her friend. Surprisingly he didn't cock block, just sat next to him like a chode while Lucky finished the interaction.

Quick dinner at the spring festival and then naptime.

At nighttime we were going to the bath parties - which...we saw all the reviews on TripAdvisor, etc. But it's just one of those things we felt like we had to do. So at 10:00 we had a beer at Szimpla and then called an Uber from there. For the record, highly recommend using it here. We took three rides last night, two of about three miles and one of a mile and a half - grand total was $9 and change for the night. With it being $3 a ride, it's basically as cheap as riding the metro. Just watch out for the surge pricing.

Bath party didn't start out that bad. Walking through the locker rooms we saw a good amount of girls; definitely more guys but it seemed workable. Add to the fact that it's often bachelor parties where guys simply have no game. Had one girl from Seattle come up to us, I tried to finger her after about five minutes and that was the end of that haha.

By the time we left there at 1:30 it felt like 15 guys to every girl. Lucky and Jeremy made some realistic edits to this exaggeration and it was probably 4/5:1. But, it's just such a shitshow, I don't think any amount of game could overcome it. At one point Lucky and I had two cute girls (from America, go figure), and one guy tried to steal mine. When I grabbed her back he proceeded to dump an entire beer on me while I had my back turned.

That was the point we decided to leave. The real nail in the coffin was the sperm floating around the pool.

Though, at the end I did open the one condom we had and threw it in the whirlpool for the hell of it

In conclusion of the bath party: don't bother if you want to get laid. If you want to try, your best bet is probably to use extreme caveman name. I did see one couple fucking on the pool steps and heard another banging in the lockers, so it's "possible" to pull it off.

Took an Uber home, quick rinse off and we were over in the Kraft/Otkert area by about 2:30. Hat tip to Slubu who convinced us to go via text last night - otherwise we would have just rolled to Szimpla which closes at 4. Kraft was still going when I got out of there at 5:30.

The line at Otkert was just absurd. We could have gotten a table with a 15,000 forint/person spend, but decided to wait in the much shorter line at Kraft.

It did not disappoint.

The place was absolutely packed with stunners. If you want quality, no doubt it's the place to be. It really blew my mind when I walked in, took a bit to get acclimated and I pussied out for a while. Took a beer to get my feet back under me.

I don't really have a lot to share. English isn't spoken as well at these places, and some girls will think you're a sex tourist.

I collected two numbers but nothing came of them. I did meet a couple cuties, one of whom wants to marry me and move to Cali, but couldn't pull them back.

As a note, in Hungarian culture it's traditional for a male/female couple to stand ACROSS from each other instead of next to each other. So, the brunette I wanted had actually been with the guy across from her for five years - and the blonde friend (in the middle of them) was single. They explained this to me in great detail, so I'll keep an eye out for that at the local places for the rest of this trip.

So we're three nights in, haven't gone to bed before 5:30am on any night. The first two nights I had quality girls in bed, but due to boyfriends and whiskey dick, couldn't pull it off. I will say this though...the quality was higher, and they are FAR nicer than girls in Cali. Both were "tourists" though, but last night at Kraft shows me that there is an even higher echelon of Hungarian poon that we can hopefully crack in the next week.

Akvarium/Deak Square should be starting to get good this time of year. Go out there around 6pm with some brews or wine, and let them come to you. In the summers theres usually about 500 ppl out there drinking on any given night.

I met up with TroubleMaker and his gang last night at Szimpla. It was a good night. We all got along well. I got the impression that we all have a similar laid back demeanor among the four of us. It was a chill get together and I was glad to be able to meet up with everyone.

ya it was a chill time Nemausus, but I also feel like you missed some blatantly obvious signs that Lucky and I were close to pulling the last set back.

Lucky opened so he made his pick when he was across the street with her friend teaching her some Jiu-Jitsu. From then it was fair game on for the red head (we'll call her F)

First you asked her if her sister was hot. Then you said you don't date girls over 25 (immediately after she said she was 26).

She didn't like those jokes at all and so I picked her up and carried her around the corner for the make out.

If we were going to get them back to our place for the lay, then it needed to be equal numbers. Since F was feeling me so I made out with her it was obvious that was your sign to bounce. I had even tried to find the third friend, who had wandered off, for you.

after F and I walk back to find her friend, you were just in the middle of the street. So what should have been the two girls discussing privately how they could sneak off with us and not let their entire group know (they had a hotel room with 7 chicks, anti slut defense is high) was now an awkward fifth wheel.

While there was still a bit of momentum, the only thing really holding them back form coming up to the flat was you still being there. Chilling is cool for you since you live here but we're trying to get laid in a limited time frame. We did our best as wings but for this nights game you were the odd one out at the end. And then after they leave we figure fuck it, not the end of the world. we could still hang out for a nightcap but then you just left too. Why didn't you just bounce 10 minutes earlier while we had a chance to get laid?

I'm not trying to start shit or knock your game. You missed some signs. It happens, no big deal. You're a cool dude. Just thought I'd bring it up for the sake of discussion and advancement of game knowledge for the community.

I like how all the Budapest trip reports sorta read the same.

People make the same mistakes and the same successes

Dont bother with the Brits and Aussie
Stick to Hungarians, Romanians, ect
Explore the city.. go to the clubs you havent been to.
I lived literally next door to Szimpla..and even I only liked that place as a fall back or a slow night venue.

Check my trip report and the data sheet.
Try to hit some places that we havent been before.

What are you guys doing in the day time?
Its not "game" related , but if youre just exploring the city.. I would recommend hitting up some of the day time things in the city.
Zoo, Puzzle house, walking up Gellert hill.

Dont forget to try some of the awesome food there

Budapest is overall extremely expensive.
I even the fancy places aren't that expensive in comparison to western countries.
The only thing I regret is now ballin out a little more.
I still managed to come home with money to spare.

We actually loved Instant when we were there on Monday night. But, we got lucky. We met a group of 24 year old high school Danish girls that were going there, plus a group of 7 girls from the UK. As far as the ratios overall it wasn't bad, either. And an amazing bar layout.

I owe some major reports from the last few days...which I'll get to when I'm not sick as a dog. Currently pounding OJ and garlic and it feels like my face is melting boogers off of it.
