Foolgo1d, I also often see that 'sight' of that kind of guy with that kind of whale. However most of those couples are quite 'chavvy', and the guy is often skinny fat too. It would be different if the guy was a ripped beast and the girl was still a whale, but I think (thankfully) that's still quite rare over here.

And I know that hipster male look you've just shown in that picture too. The Jordan Henderson style slicked back grease mop hair and ear guages make me sick. The beard isn't so bad really.

The beard isn't the problem in that photo. It's the odd shirt, the ear gauges, the dumb tattoos and the bad haircut. It's male attention-whoring they think looks good but really just reveals that they're a stupid hipster prone to making incredibly poor decisions.

I think the best of the popular "looks" for young guys in the last century was the greaser style.



Dudes just look cool with the hair, the leather jackets, jeans and boots. But, styles and fads change.

I'm personally thinking about trying to get into the tattoo removal business because I imagine that'll become a big industry in the next 5 - 10 years.

The thing is, this look is so common here, that it couldn't even be called peacocking - it's more of a group think fit in with everybody else thing. They are like clones, and are literally everywhere you look.

Yeah, their perception of their style is different than reality. There comes a point when something cool and edgy becomes moronic and commonplace.

In the past getting a tattoo was seen as a counter-cultural act, but now it's mainstream as fuck. I think in the future the pendulum will either swing back the other way (toward no tattoos) or things will get so absurd that people will start looking like carney freakshows tattooed from head to toe and sporting neon hair with bicycle tires in their earlobes.

I think I pretty well understand this phenomena. I don't think anyone deliberately tries to fit in with others and be trendy. This is what happens I think...Growing from my teenage years in the 90s into my early 30s, I wore baggy jeans. That just seemed normal to me, a loose fit. But starting around the mid 2000s, that went out of style and guys were moving toward a more fitted cut. I still kept wearing them baggy for a bit, but after awhile you get so used to seeing fitted jeans everywhere that baggy jeans all of a sudden start to look clownish to you. Then you wonder how you never realized how stupid looking baggy jeans were the whole time. Then I got rid of all my loose fitting jeans and bought fitted ones. Was I just being trendy? That wasn't really even my intention, I just over time started thinking that the more popular fitted jeans were better looking.

Ideal looks definitely vary from region to region and from culture to culture.

Heck, I did way better on Tinder in D.C than Toronto.

I'd say with girls in Toronto, I'm probably a 6 or 6.5 depending on level of grooming/style on that particular day.

With Latinas, I probably jump to a 7-7.5. Maybe even a 8 for a few girls out there.

Same for Scandinavian girls, I'm probably a 7-7.5 for them.

I don't have enough experience with Eastern European or Western European girls although my guess is they will be more receptive.

Working out should grab me an extra point or so, I've already seen some decent benefits from that from the small amount of muscle mass I've gained.

Black or dark brown square toe, or rounded toe boots. Cowboy boots are considered "try hard" and looked down upon. My go out uniform is a black t shirt in the day time, or black button up that is fitted at night, Dark boot cut jeans, basic Rolex (no diamonds, not huge) or basic Tag, $200, and I always roll out with at least two women so I don't have to wait in line or pay to get in the "real Miami" clubs (no Liv or tourist traps with bottle service) and take Uber everywhere. Stay out till about 6am with a group of chicks and try to meet a girl to have sex with that night. Uber really changed the game here, no more having to lease an expensive car risk DUI, or pay to park. I also carry a flask and party favors the girls with me pay for all their own shit and sometimes buy rounds. Where you live, and having attractive female friends really makes things easy. Going out with a group of guys , unless you are rich, will work against you in the night life pickup. Seriously, just have the right look and two cute girls with sexy cloths and you will have no problem parting your ass off.

Clothes can be thrown out and bought when another fashion trend comes along.

Beards and OTT piercings can be removed and re-done or left out permanently.

Tattoos on the otherhand are almost permanent and will show for many years to come. Certain groups do well with tattoos, some guy following a trend because "its in" are the types we will see clamoring for the laser treatment in future.

Heavily-tattooed guy here. Never once regretted it. It's a tapestry of my life's journey. I think the key questions to ask here are: are you already deeply-masculine? Do your tattoos enhance your apparent masculine strength?

If you get tattoos and grow a lumberjack beard as affectations of masculinity without cultivating traditional strength, honour and emotional resilience, women - and men - will see right through it and think you're an obnoxious poseur.

Even when I was heavily-bearded a couple of years back, no-one mistook me for a Hipster. Been growing it back since November. I've developed grey streaks since my last one. Love them. I look ornery, experienced and badass. This is the natural acceptance of aging a healthy person should have. Life's too short to regret the passage of time and the youthful decisions we make. Looks do play a strong role in short-term seduction, because you are a woman's sex object. For a LTR you can be even 4 points below her and she will fuck you and may even find you attractive over time - especially if you have good Game and strong frame.

Actually that's a misunderstanding - Game is king, but if looks were only 30% to men, then you could be obese, old, ugly, 5'1 and bang 18 year old models non-stop just with expert level Game.

GLL states correctly that there is a looks-threshold that is best passed or at least approached - if you don't have that then you better have some kind of massive DHV up front - fame, apparent wealth etc.

Also your value in terms of looks varies from country to country and even city to city within a country based on the gender ratio of there and the men and women in each place. If you have a surplus of young slim women like in NYC or Las Vegas then your competitive value appears to be higher than in DC or Toronto.

Besides - Roosh would not be very slim with a well-trained body if he thought that looks don't matter at all. Also I think we sometimes forget that game is massive value in and of itself.
