Hey guys,

unfortunately and due to some bad luck und laziness I do have really low status atm. (I lost several years in trying to become rich through poker) I am 30 years old now and still a student at university. Is there any point in investing time in game (following the roosh Program)?

Atm the only girls interested in me are ugly or old or both.

Work towards them over time.

Raise your status and value.

Don't let the past steal your present. You are still YOUNG.

Starting hitting the gym and working out 5 days a week.
On the days you're not training, go for a walk.

Get outside every day.

Minimize booze except for social occasions.

If you are interested in them, learn at least one foreign language while you're in college. Sign up for a language club.

Another cheezy but true quote, it's now how badly you fall, but how you get up.

And yes: do the Roosh program.

Oh... and when the time is right bust out the cards for strip poker w/ your new friends

Do women have x-ray vision and the ability to peer into your bank account?

But they CAN size you up if you are depressed and slouching around.

So carry yourself like you are the B.M.O.C. so to speak.
You are the seasoned, mature guy, who knows his way around women, and has paid his dues as a high roller in Vegas, unlike the youngster frat guys with Whiskey dick and a Playstation. But now that you've had your fun in LV you've decided to get serious and finish your degree.

I know I'm not exactly in the same spot as you, but I was also dressing like a dumbass, about 20 pounds overweight with no muscle when I started this journey.

I saved up and started very strategically buying upgrades to my wardrobe and hitting the gym EVERY DAY. You probably don't need to take it to such an extreme, but that has done more for inner confidence than anything else. If you know you look fucking baller when you roll out in the morning, that affects how you walk, how you talk, the vibe you give off. These are the first things you can do.

Then, start talking to people. Not just hot chicks. Not even chicks. Everyone. Get better at joking and talking up in any situation. Be that guy that makes the room laugh. You'll get better at it and internalize it.

Best of luck dude. There is never a wrong time to start.

You seem to attach your worth to your bank account. I'll tell you something, I'm making more money now than I ever have in my life and working for myself and though I'm happy and it's great, it's come at a cost. WOrking a fulltime gig and growing my business putting in long hours I've slacked at the gym and let myself get a little out of shape. Don't get me wrong I'm still probably in better shape than 80% of dudes out there but just letting myself slip I've lost some confidence and self esteem I can tell. I just don't have that same swag I used to.

I was more confident broke and in debt in my early 20's than I am today and the difference is that I was taking care of my body as far as working out and even hygene, skincare, etc.

These are things which don't really cost much money to do and can give you a huge boost in confidence.

I've never really bought into the act like you have money whether you do have it or don't have it. It seems like it but its not true.

There is something you can do. If you're too fucked up to approach, then get to the gym. If you're too fucked up for the gym, go buy some groceries and cook healthy meals. if you're too poor for that then pirate some good books off the net and get reading. I'm going through a slump right now, too, but I haven't quit.

But really. If your value is this low then you can do whatever the fuck you want. You can go super direct on every girl and not come out any worse. What can anyone take from you since you're so low value?

Good news, I tried daygame and got my first lay out of it. It seems my German citizenship was enough status for this croation girl I approached. When she asked me how old I am, I let her guess. She guessed 24. I answered that it doesn't matter. So I think it is possible that she will dump me after she finds out.

I've got responsibilities. A full time job, family and kids. I'm 36.

This week has been rough.

However, past month or so I've done about 30+ day approaches. A lot for me. Gotten a few numbers and a few text backs.

And oh yeah, my logistics absolutely blow.

Yet, I still plan on continuing.

My point is if I can do it, you cats with a lot less baggage have no excuse to quit.

I too am suffering a similar issue. Namely an internalised low status/value judgement. I am cockblocking myself, every time I see a woman I would like to approach I ask myself "what would she ever want with me, what good is a man without a solid income?" As a result of this I have not approached a woman since leaving university.

Like yourself I attended university "late", I started at 27 and finished at 29 and have failed to convert this into a graduate role as of yet. The only solution is to work on acheiving my goals and my internal frame/game.

As to the OP, working out can have a big effect on your self esteem. Don't regard your issue as an existential problem but as a problem in perception.

I say this as a guy with status... (lawyer, writer, real estate developer, some internet fame, etc.)

Status is completely overrated.

There are plenty of bartenders, waiters, and tattoo artists who get laid way more than I do.

A lot of my white collar lawyer friends are thirsty as hell, too.

Keep approaching, and don't use status as an excuse. You can get laid with $20 in your wallet easily, if your game is solid and your looks are decent.

A lot of my posts are coming back as "female", and I analyzed a lot of the longer posts. I don't think that site is very accurate.
