I think women who go into law, most especially family law, have an ax to grind with the Father. These kind of women use the masculine (the law) to castrate the masculine. Much like getting some guy to white knight for her, or flying a plane (masculine) into a skyscraper (masculine)...they are terrorists.
I see most western women fundamentally being this way in the little things they do everyday. It's become not only socially accepted, but part of our fabric. It's in your favorite TV show, favorite movie, magazine and commercial.
Once you start seeing it everywhere it becomes much harder to stay and live as before.

That's what I thought as well, can a woman really walk away with 100 million dollars for simply signing on a piece of paper and being married for 4 months when she had zero to do with the accumulation of the guy's money?
I also find a bit distasteful that because Clooney has different political views from some of you he deserves to lose half of his money. This affects all men despite political leaning, we should all be siding with him if this story was true.
It can be bad - let's not forget Dave Foley's divorce.
Ummm, assets and debt acquired during marriage are divided equally between spouses. If Clooney had $100MM before entering marriage, then it is considered separate property belonging to him. Only the money he makes after marriage is divided 50/50.
I was wondering how like it would to collapse.
This isn't a question of finances, frame maintenance, celebrity status or even the woman.
I have in on good authority from inside sources that the entire thing was a sham to cover his extracurricular activities.
George Clooney's so deep in the fucking closet he can see Narnia.
