I'm a watcher. This is starting to get interesting.

Every time I think he's about to turn a corner, he amazes me by pulling off another stunt like the billboard stunt or actually accepting the bribe.

This is going to be a good series. I had my doubts in the beginning, but now I know.

I enjoyed the four first episodes especially the 2 which is awesome.

It has potential, the plot si a little bit slow but Breaking Bad was the same.

I also like the fact that the show is in New Mexico, the landscape are beautiful, this is the only serie I bother downloading in HD. It is also a good thing to see other places than Los Angeles.

It's boring. All it has going for it is the audience's familiarity with the two main characters and actors (Saul & Mike). Apart from that the plots being presented are not interesting at all.

When I watch a film or show I rate it based not on it's story, but on the storyTELLING.

The direction and storytelling is excellent on this show. The directors do an incredible job evoking the emotions in the viewer that the characters, especially Jimmy/Saul feel. In the latest episode when he sits in the unfinished corner office, kicks the door, and then let's out his emotions, it was a great cathartic release for the audience.

We are invested in him, and feel for his moral dilemmas. We feel more for him knowing how he ends up. As men we can all connect with a story of growth. A story about how a man tries to be "good" based on what society defines is "good", and yet it is the same pharisaic society that does not let him be "good". He then has to take his own red pill and evolve into Saul Goodman. In Breaking Bad it is easy just to judge Saul as a sleazy lawyer. We know now that he is not happy with the actions he has to take, but in this cruel world it is kill or be killed. How is this not an excellent story?

Such stories have been told many times before, sure. But in the current world it is important to have such a show that focuses on the burden of being a man and "making it". Add to that the slightly black humor of the show, and it has an excellent flow.

The only plot point I find a bit dull is the story with his brother. I see how that is being used to show Jimmy's organic and human side, but I find the whole photo-phobia to be a bit out there.

I've seen the whole series. It does get quite confusing at times, but it's really good. The episode where they try and pull the skateboarder scam and end up in Nacho's house is like pulp fiction level stuff.

Really felt for Jimmy/Saul at the end of the last episode, he was so close to having his dream of being respectable, and it's all gone because he did "the right thing" (his quotes). It makes his line to Walter after they send the random convict to jail instead of Badger in Breaking Bad even better:

"Conscience gets expensive, doesn't it?"

I have no familiarity with BB because I've never watched it. Yet, I find BCS entertaining in many ways.

So do you think animals naturally have honor or a moral code? Or is it simply a social fabrication created to suppress the masses?


If we look at someone like Steve Jobbs, he was someone who lacked a moral compass, for reasons I'm sure many of you can think of. That said, he was able to establish a company that is on its way to being the first with a Trillion dollar valuation, not to mention the way he influenced an entire generation through the products he made.


Personally, I think that honor and moral codes are not static, and are dynamic according to each and every situation you find yourself in.

The series is about James McGill "breaking bad" and becoming Saul Goodman.

Pretty much everything about Saul is there. It's just that James lacks the will to do what is necessary. Essentially swallow the red pill, do what is necessary to survive and then thrive.

As for animals having a "code", there's plenty of evidence that some species sacrifice self for the good of the overall population.

In my estimation, it's altruism that stops individuals from succeeding, but also keeps the whole place from falling apart.

This is unpopular opinion, but both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul got boring for me after a while because of the slow, boring side characters and the amount of time we are forced to invest in their boring irrelevant stories.

In Breaking Bad it was Walter's family problems and his cunt wife. If they just cut that drama to minimum and stuck with the exciting drug kingdom story, the show would be perfect.

When I saw Episode 6 of Better Call Saul being entirely dedicated to Mike's truly irrelevant conflicts, I wasn't surprised, since it's the same production with Breaking Bad. The guy is old, talks slow, acts small, moves slow and is totally boring to watch. Why did they have to ruin this otherwise great lawyer show with this Mike character? Who cares about his son's death? I just wanna see James become Saul and do some tricks and shit.

I loved the show at first and had my hopes up, but now I realize I'm gonna have to put up with Mike a lot to see the rest of James' story, which I will not do. So there you go.
