Principles and Laws
I stumbled upon on many recently and gorged myself. They're very interesting and a good way to identify patterns in different areas of life. I'm sure there's many more interesting ones floating around, that someone here could share.
You can relate some of them back to dating, game and society as we see it in the manosphere. Here are a few entertaining ones to read, taken from wikipedia.
Pareto principle aka the 80–20 rule
States that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.
Pareto showed that approximately 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population; Pareto developed the principle by observing that 20% of the pea pods in his garden contained 80% of the peas
It is a common rule of thumb in business; "80% of your sales come from 20% of your clients". Mathematically, the 80–20 rule is roughly followed by a power law distribution (also known as a Pareto distribution) for a particular set of parameters, and many natural phenomena have been shown empirically to exhibit such a distribution.

Lindy Effect
Is a theory of the life expectancy of non-perishable things that posits for a certain class of nonperishable, like a technology or an idea, every additional day may imply a longer life expectancy.
"If a book has been in print for forty years, I can expect it to be in print for another forty years. But, and that is the main difference, if it survives another decade, then it will be expected to be in print another fifty years. This, simply, as a rule, tells you why things that have been around for a long time are not “aging” like persons, but “aging” in reverse. Every year that passes without extinction doubles the additional life expectancy. This is an indicator of some robustness. The robustness of an item is proportional to its life!"
Books that have been in existence for hundreds of years are likely to be in existence for hundreds of years more. In other words, reading things that are new are more likely to become instantly obsolete and therefore reading books that have been in existence for a long time is a better use of one's limited reading time.
Burden of Evidence: For things that have survived for a long time and hence are expected to survive for a long time (e.g., nature), when challenged, the burden of evidence is not on the thing that survived but on the thing disrupting it
Policy Setting: Certain professions deemed by a society as undesirable but have survived the test of time (prostitution, bookmaking, etc.) should be managed via policy rather than prohibited by policy
1% rule (Internet culture).
In Internet culture, the 1% rule is a rule of thumb pertaining to participation in an internet community, stating that only 1% of the users of a website actively create new content, while the other 99% of the participants only lurk
Variants include the 1-9-90 rule or 90–9–1 principle (sometimes also presented as the 89:10:1 ratio, which state that in a collaborative website such as a wiki, 90% of the participants of a community only view content, 9% of the participants edit content, and 1% of the participants actively create new content.
Regression toward the mean
In statistics, regression toward (or to) the mean is the phenomenon that if a variable is extreme on its first measurement, it will tend to be closer to the average on its second measurement—and, paradoxically, if it is extreme on its second measurement, it will tend to have been closer to the average on its first. To avoid making incorrect inferences, regression toward the mean must be considered when designing scientific experiments and interpreting data
Diminishing returns
In economics, diminishing returns is the decrease in the marginal (incremental) output of a production process as the amount of a single factor of production is incrementally increased, while the amounts of all other factors of production stay constant.
The law of diminishing returns states that in all productive processes, adding more of one factor of production, while holding all others constant, will at some point yield lower incremental per-unit returns. The law of diminishing returns does not imply that adding more of a factor will decrease the total production, a condition known as negative returns, though in fact this is common.
Duverger's law
In political science, Duverger's law is a principle that asserts that plurality rule elections structured within single-member districts tend to favor a two-party system. This is one of two hypotheses proposed by Duverger, the second stating that "the double ballot majority system and proportional representation tend to multipartism.
