Kids nowadays may have it gravy compared to previous generations when it comes to what accomplishments are required of them, and that its ok to be a pussy, but at no time in the history of mankind has it been more confusing to be an adolescent boy.

This forum becomes more popular every day. At some point, googling his name may bring a person to this thread. Do we want to be labeled as guys that trash dead teenagers, or guys that are empathetic of the plight of young men?

Two pages in and the question I originally asked, "Why did he off himself?" was never answered.

Was it because people were making fun of him for his laser cat picture?
Was it because he was a closeted gay man uncomfortable with the prospect of coming out (odd in this day and age)?
Was it because he was being abused by a family member?
Was it because his 15 minute of fame went up and couldn't handle losing the fame and spotlight?

I spent a handful of time searching for the reasons why, but every news article is coming up blank. Personally, I think he couldn't handle the loss of the spotlight and offed himself. Social media and narcissism played a part in this. A total shame, but people should not be this plugged into social media. Nothing good comes from it.

I think social media is pretty damaging. Especially for those who are easily influenced. People need time to be introspective and process their own thoughts/desires. Constant external bombardment of nonsense does overwhelm. RVF is the closest thing to social media I have. And even then sometimes, I notice my dislike of certain things may be a bit excessive compared to the crime/event that I am reading about.

In some ways I feel a bit bad for the younger guys on the forum who are smart enough to come here and develop/improve themselves but all their friends/acquaintances are frigging addicted to social media. Dropping out of their entire social network would be hard on an extrovert I imagine. I know some guys on here have done it, much respect to those who have.
