Seems to me it would be "easier" (and I put quotes because it is hard for a 40 yr old married guy to game college girls - between age gap, discretion and logistics combined - but.... we try) to game girls at a large state school than a smaller private university? Just having the money around (Daddy's or their BF's daddy's) takes away an alluring part of the older man angle - being able to provide.

But I thought maybe you could use the angle of break away from the sheltered life and be with an older man who can show you a few things...

on a percentage basis, more fatties at state schools. roissy had a great post on the stratification of fat based on how elite a school is.

You will get upper elite talent at state schools that you won't find in privates, but There is a lot of lumpenprole that I would not touch whereas the distribution at a private when it comes to weight is much more pleasing.

In my opinion,

At large state schools the students are more segregated into their own little social groups. Frats and sororities stick with eachother, athletes have their own groups, then basically the larger hometowns or cities in that state where the students come from will further divide into groups.
I went to a state school of 22,000 I was surprised how rigid the social groups were. I guess 18 year olds can get overwhelmed with such a plethora of options they find it easier to join a sorority and be told who your friends are and who to date. It's easier than, you know, deciding things for themselves.

I think smaller colleges there is little or no greek community, plus the athletes aren't big time by any means, so everyone tends to party with everyone. When I visited friends at a smaller college I found it easier to get laid.
Make no mistake, none of these young people mature. The social groups are pretty childish. You would think a campus with 10,000 of the opposite sex it would be easy, but there are clear groups a girl will gauge your social standing off of.

Are you greek? are you on one of the sports teams? is your hometown one of the major cities in that state? etc... it's like a miniature Hollywood, it's just a childish life phase where certain social groups will automatically get you laid more.

Obviously at any college it's still easy to get laid, Im just saying some larger schools the girls can be pretty childish based on what social group they perceive you as. Being 40, if you were some type of grad assistant teacher would be ideal.

I'm 40 and single and just about every college age girl I turn into a FB is going to a state school, usually a lesser state school which are mostly commuter schools (not much campus life), and also has a job.

I think the reality of them having to support themselves makes them sometimes too mature for guys their own age, and the fact that they are perpetually broke (who can live well earning $9/working even 30 hours a week) and that an older guy can be charming fun and easily afford drinks, dinners, concerts, brunches etc is attractive

Also some of them don't want boyfriends because their work and school schedule don't leave time for a relationship (read: they don't need a needy guy sucking up their time).

Add to that the number of girls who find an older and dominant guy very naughty and attractive and the fact that she can slut it up outside their social circle without her friends finding out can make an older guy a very attractive romance.

I've never approached on a college campus and live in a car oriented city, so there would be no real reason for me to be around a campus. I find these girls in their jobs, especially in the suburbs, like hostess at a restaurant or retail.

I'm not sure where you're going with this.

But if you meet a chick out and about, the last thing I consider is whether the government is ponying up for her education. I imagine that online would be much the same.

Rich girls - tend to live charmed lives and live on the edge. There have been studies that suggest a rich girl's attitude towards her having sex are different than a middle class or a working class girl.

Poor girls - tend to be impressed that you let them order anything @ Applebee's.

Either way, being concerned with her finances or those of her parents seems to be getting the game backwards. Unless you're trying to climb the social ladder.

In the West, a chick rarely bangs you because of what you can do for financially. And chicks on seeking arrangement come from both sides of the tracks. Rich girl will live off some simp the same as a poor girl will. Instead of gaudy Louboutins, she'll ask for a Birkin.

The only reason most guys bang state school chicks is because there are more state school chicks.

It's not because money somehow imbues bitches with beauty, game, or smarts.

Very interesting post! So when you're meeting them 'on the job' do you usually close after repeat exposure as Don Steele advises in his book or upon initial convo?! And will you tend to ask for a phone #, FB or just give them a biz card w/a generous tip??? Dinner and bang on the 1st date, or how does it typically play out?!

Stick to a big school. I went to a small private school (under 8k) and the social groups remained segregated by majors and schools. No Greek life, but everyone had their own groups from athletes to theater students. I've always been a floater and found a few niches thankfully. I wasn't well liked amongst my own school.

Not to mention, you get a player vibe that spreads when there are only 3 degrees of separation between students.

The only time I found a school where everyone partied with each other was at Kenyon College in OH. That school was mad tiny, like 1600 students. Even then, I bet the social groups still had some rigidity to them. Since I didn't go there, I can't comment.

Reputation, which is something the players here rarely talk about, starts to become massively more important as the size of the school shrinks. You'll get a nasty rep if you p&d too many women. Private schools in particular attract a crop of insecure hipsters and white knights who will readily throw you under the bus as well. Lots of backstabbing.

I spent some time in Santa Barbara and was really floored by how open social groups were at schools like UCSD even though I wasn't a student there. In short, it seemed more of a culture thing than anything else.

This is a no contest. State school by a country mile. It's such a big disparity (at least in my experience) that it doesn't warrant a comparison.

I go to a small private school - unless there is some secret, Eyes Wide Shut type of orgy thing going on behind closed doors that I'm not aware of, NO ONE is having sex.

I shouldn't say that - what I mean is...I would say close to 90% of girls are in exclusive relationships and not looking to hook up.

The other thing is this. Let me paint you a reality of a smaller school.

-Very little "school spirit" ... so athletics are not a big deal, there are no frats, clubs have like 15-20 members max, so very little wiggle room if you're trying to score by doing extracurricular stuff.

-Because of that, most people here have the same mindset - come in, go to class, go home. There is minimal socializing. People see it more as a job and not as an experience. Just work towards your degree so you can get out of here.

-It is not a stretch to have 20 kids or less in any one of my classes - from there you have to figure out which of the girls in your class are single and attracted to you. Good luck with those odds.

-You can cold approach on campus, sure, just be careful, as (at least for me) I tend to see the same faces around campus. You may develop a reputation pretty quick for being "that guy" if you're not careful.

Bulk of my success is outside of school. Tinder mostly, at the moment.
