What house/group rules have you implemented in your games that you have a hard time playing without anymore? Note that by house rule I'm not talking about a full on variant, just minor tweeks you've made to your games.

In thinking of starting this thread I thought of our house rule for Eclipse. Official rules state that when two ships have equal initiative the defender trumps and shoots first. We have adopted the rule that in equal initiative combats, ships fire at the same time. So this means that it's possible for a combat to end with no survivors. More fun than the official we have found.

Haha. I was actually curious if there was something to talk about concerning this.

I have several, and it's good for compliance testing.
- before: bring alcohol (wine)
- on arrival: no shoes (girls without shoes on behave different)
- on first phonegrab: no social media reading (checking what time you can get public transport home or sending your best friends "I'm fine, he looks charming!!" is ok)
