Good dumbbell program?

If you want to dry out a little and lose some water weight/bloating try Dandelion Root. It's very common to lose 5-6 lbs in 2 weeks or less. Just make sure to drink 2-2.5 times your regular water intake. As a last resort ... try an Epsom salt bath right before a day at the beach.

Fantastic methods to quickly lean out before a boat/beach party.

Anas, where do you buy the dandelion root from?

Yeah, please remember to hydrate. I'm all for dudes boasting their fat loss, but you gotta keep yourself hydrated, especially as we move into the warmer months.

I once took L-tyrosine and yohimbine and I was going to die at the gym. I was getting heart palpitations and headaches.

L-tyro and Yohimbine is like a fat-loss blowtorch, but you must be careful with it. I don't do it anymore after that experience.

As far as weight training goes:

Do you have a routine that you currently follow, or have you been cutting without going to the gym?

Since you're in a caloric deficit, dial back your the weight you're moving. So still go to the gym but lift lighter weights. When you're in a deficit, the fluid between your joints is a little light and you can grind your joints down and hurt yourself.

You could easily do 5x5 but keep the weight SUPER light. I think that when you're on a cut you don't have the stamina for a bodybuilding routine.

Stronglifts.com has a basic 5x5 template which should be fine. Don't go heavy, though. Resist the urge to modify the program in anyway and it should serve you fine.

Dandelion root is not a fat burner Fortis.

It's a natural supplement & best and safest diuretic out there. It actually promotes & improves liver and kidney function and has been used as a digestive aid for millennia. Unlike other duiretics, it does not deplete potassium levels or mess up your Na-K pump. Won't hurt to supplement with Potassium. I was eating 6 bananas a day just to be on the safe side but have tried it without K-supplements with no problems.

Depending on your weight, sodium in your diet and Creatine supplementation ... expect 5-10 pounds of water weight loss in 2 weeks. I've used it myself and recommended it to a friend as well. Visual difference in dryness within 5 days for both of us.

This is the brand i used. There are dozens of brands out there. Feel free to get whatever as long as the dosage per pill is 520-580 mg. 1 pill 3 times a day with meals and twice the amount of water you usually drink so your body doesn't retain any. Some guys prefer to brew their own Dandelion Root tea but I'm all for convenience. Dandelion Root is actually one of the best and underrated supplements out there.

I do not recommend fat burners. Like Fortis, I was getting heart palpitations from mega doses of Ephedrine, Caffeine and Aspirin while partying my face off in Vegas. Heard similar things about L-Tyrosine/Yohimbine/Caffeine stacks.

The shit we go through to impress girls.

Hydration is a problem because of electrolyte loss. 4 months down, and I take my zinc, mg, potassium, and salt religiously, but I can't drink a liter of water w/o it going to my head.

I've probably been to the gym 10 times in the last 6 weeks. Nothing major, but the gym doesn't have much more than 4 cardio machines, weight machines and dumbbells.

I've been focusing on the dumb bells for chest/back/legs, and doing HIIT/Tabata cycles on the cardio.

Don't really wear suits since it's so expensive to build a solid wardrobe, but I'd rock that in a heartbeat.

I would rock that.

Recently I have stepped up my wardrobe game as I'm almost done with my Bachelor's and now shifting towards getting an MBA; and I want my style to be congruent with my shift towards a more business mindset/outlook. I now have three suits; black, charcoal gray, and royal navy (mix) blue. All solid colors, nothing fancy and no patterns. As I have improved my style, I have already noticed people staring at me more as I stick out as a well dressed dark skinned black man in a predominantly white area of the Netherlands. This recent experience coincides with the idea mentioned here that being a well dressed black man makes us stand out from the rest. However, I am worried about going too far...

Any of you brothas here experiment with non-standard (black, navy blue) colors and patterns with suits or other stylish wear? Did you feel uncomfortable switching to this at first and if so, how long did it take until if felt more natural?
Moma 路 2016-05-04 01:35:00 路 #1888
Archie, the suit is looking good, I'm gauging that's the clothing style in DC? I like. Too hot for that, by me, more..I need more of a short sleeve affair, perhaps with the fedora or something.

Instagram is a massive source on what black man can wear in the suit and classic fashion game.. When I get time later ill try and post many examples for brothers and what we can wear. We can pull off many many many colors without it looking weird. Even green and purple.

Ive start suit blogging a little bit.

@Moma

Professional guys in dc wear suits, only a few wear them well. I'm easing back into wearing mine daily. Well fitted and well accessorized, girls want you to come talk to them. Being able to run your yap is the thing that gets you in the panties. That's why I don't put too much stock in external stuff being the key to bagging chicks.

I'd say most guys don't go that route though.
The ideal combo is
- be clearly physically fit AND
- be stylish, suits included

If you had to choose between a 1500 suit or 3 *500 suits versus three months with a trainer, I'd choose the trainer. The personal benefits are greater. In my personal experience, external things can provide more of an internal benefit than an external benefit. They give you that confidence that comes from accomplishment. But remembering the mid range luxury cars I've bought, what I value isn't necessarily valued by others.

Though amongst black dudes, being cut/ripped/shredded/jacked is par for the course. The real killer app in dc for getting attention is long dreadlocks plus height. 6'3+. Jeans and J's for blue collars and designer/suit stuff for ballers.

D.C.has a lot of dandies though. I see at least one or two brothers like that a day in a sea of guys that don't care and guys doing rapper impressions.

Both the suit and the spring outfits are hot. That would be fine if I didn't sweat like a hog. I'm going to cut the Bob Marley at the end of the month and have a new look entirely. Right now, I'm of the mind to peacock everyday. Instead of occasionally.

Experimentation is the order of the day.

I increasingly see brothers trying to rock this "classy man" dandy look, with the suit, bright bowtie, thick rimmed glasses, etc. I appreciate the style but at the same time, they still need to have game and fitness. I people watch at the club pretty hard and notice that the "classy men" and the "rapper impressions" are doing the same thing, posting up on the wall, not saying chit to girls, etc. It doesn't matter if your style has sauce if your game is lost..

Style or fitness? Yes and yes. Top performers have all three, style, fitness, game

Not to change the subject but I had a question for you guys. If a girl considers you relationship material is this because of weak game? I was talking to a female and she was telling me about a guy she was seeing but not dating...said he wasn't relationship material. I instantly thought of that as a good thing from the dude's point of view. I also bring this up cause I'm currently in a LTR.
WestIndianArchie 路 2016-05-04 10:09:00 路 #1896
Boyfriend material vibe means that the girl goes into autopilot and tries to trap him in a relationship.

Player vibe means you're only good for sex, but she can get addicted to sex and then desire affection.

Just fucking a chick is hard because there's the right amount of respect and affection that have to be conveyed so she doesn't feel used.

In terms of advanced game, you need to give a girl agency to enjoy herself as a sexual being. But you can't ignore her desire for affection but also her biological imperative to have kids.

So you're juggling three things at once.

A lot of guys want one sided harems, where they fuck whoever they want and the chicks only fuck him.

For new guys, this seems impossible. You'd have to be an idiot to disclose, or you have to be vague.

The reality is that if you can get a woman out of her pants quickly, and make her feel a whole lot, she's more than willing to be in your rotation. She is not getting those feelings from other guys. She'll take her 90 minutes of alpha once every two weeks. She'll be faithful not to please you, but because there isn't much out there.

However the downside is that they get attached eventually and want more. It's good broad management to get her out of that headspace. Because if you keep a chick on a leash, you're fucking her over.

Also check out the forums over at AskAndyAboutClothes for grown man style tips from cats around the world who embrace it as a lifestyle instead of the latest trend.
All I wear is suits, so much so, I struggled finding casual clothes for a recent trip to Vegas. I was litterally in the club wearing a three piece suit, lol. But I stood out, and it worked.
I'm frugal as hell and stalk the clearance sections at high end department stores. I'm a big & tall guy, always have been, so finding nice clothes and accessories has always been a challenge, but once I got my sources solidified, I stayed classy.
I definitely agree on the fitness tip, I'm trying to do better with that myself. I don't posses supermodel like facial symmetry or features but I make sure I keep myself clean, well dressed, with a fresh fade. That and my charisma gets me where I need to be.
