Cancun Question
So I decided to fly to Playa Del Carmen a couple days ago, but unbeknownst to me I arrived right in the middle of the BPM music festival and couldn't find any rooms in my price range. I'm in Tulum right now, traveling solo, and pretty bored here, although I really like the area. Would be a cool place to travel as a couple.

Was planning on going to Cancun for a few days, but not in the hotel zone. Anyone have any intel on a good area to stay and game local chicas mexicana for a few days until PDC returns to normal? I'm thinking downtown near the bus station? Any tips on clubs, hotels and so on would be most appreciated.

And if there's anyone in the area by all means hit me up. Will be down here a few weeks.

If you have a decent budget, I may have a solution for you in Playa.

RE: Cancun Question
LOL! Tulum is horrendously expensive, and game is just dead there. You can find more action in Puerto Aventuras and that says a lot.
City Express Cancún is your best option. Around $60 per night. Don't know about cheaper hotels inside the city.
The whole area around Plaza Américas (the hotel is there) has a lot of night life. Let me give you an advice, tip one taxi driver and ask him about what's the hottest place in town righ now and he'll give you a better advice.
Clubs: Coco Bongo is a must.

actually it's pretty cheap, i'm paying 20 bucks a night for a decent room, beer and food is cheap enough, but yeah it's pretty dead.

THanks for the tip, will look into that.

$80.00 to $120.00 per day, plus a $500.00 deposit, which you would get back after you leave. The low end would be for no cleaning services and the high end would be for daily cleaning services.

RE: Cancun Question
Don't you tell me you are staying in a hostel for bag packers!
In the South end of Playa del Carmen, around the ferry station, there are many cheap hotels ($25 to $60). One of them is this one: http://www.posadaliliplaya.com/
