I want to plan a bang trip to the north with a fraternity brother of mine. I had a lot of luck in Milwaukee over the summer with my slight southern drawl. What are the best cities in the north to get laid as a southerner?

Do you have a Southern accent?

If you do, then I actually think with some decent game of course you can kill in any Midwestern city. Many people over here have a curiosity for the south. And girls would appreciate the opportunity to meet a Southern boy.

Some cities I think could be good are Chicago, Minneapolis, maybe Des Moines. If you had a lot of luck in Milwaukee, then I think any Midwestern city would be great. All Midwestern cities look similar to me.

It's not known as the Gateway to the South for nothing

A lot of those folks migrated from the South and some still have the accent prove it, you should fit right in there

Depends on the type of southern accent. Certain types are not at all attractive outside the south and make the person sound lame and redneck. That type would be a DLV. But there's a certain type of southern accent that sounds charming. Think Bill Clinton, or Sawyer from that TV series Lost. Especially if paired with a masculine swag. That will play well anywhere in America. Same for the female version. The southern belle is the only female left in America that's pleasant to the ears where valley uptalk and vocal fry hasn't penetrated.

Are you doing this in the summer? If not, I would simple recommend that you check out northeastern schools with a good Greek scene, like Syracase--assuming your fraternity is there of course.

I don't have a redneck accent it's like a slight charming drawl. Enough to where women will ask where I'm from without mentioning an accent. It will probably be over the summer. I was thinking St. Louis. The northeast is the only place in the us I have never been so I don't know how it works. Shold I try the northeast instead of the midwest?

In the NE I think you'd do fine, as long as you don't show up in khakis and a tucked in southern tide gingham shirt.

I don't know where you are going, but if you are going to Minneapolis I would hit up Cowboy Jacks or Toby Keith's.

I'm from the northeast and have been out here in the midwest for like six years now. On average, I've found people from the midwest to be friendlier than northeasterners. People from CHI think they're socially mean only because everyone else in the midwest is so damn friendly. Compared to NY, Boston, or Philly they are sweethearts.

Chicago's really the only 'big' city, but if you dug Milwaukee then you'll dig a lot of the other midwestern cities. One thing to keep in mind (you probably already know this) but there are some serious travel times between some of the different midwestern cities. This may not be a big deal for a southerner, but it's 6 hours from Milwaukee to Minneapolis, same goes for St. Louis to Milwaukee. I look at that and I'm like, "Yeah, I'm from where all the states are really close together so no thanks." The only city that's really close to another city is Chicago to Milwaukee.

But whatever, especially if you're going in the summer you'll have a great fucking time. The southern accent will be more of an advantage in midwest than the northeast, as well.

In my experience, the Southern accent as a man is a huge drawback in the snobby Northeast. I had several friends in college and graduate school from Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina. I was in New England. Generally people made unfounded assumptions intellect, morality, and religious values based purely on their accent. These same assumptions were also made in NYC.

on the flipside, guys seemed to like Southern accents on Women.

I don't know much about the midwest

It's the exact same out West, if not worse. When I lived in San Diego I met a guy from Texas in the Navy who said the city was a living hell and he hated the place. When I asked him why, he told me because 'people look down on you if you're from the South'. In Seattle I was swiftly corrected when I said 'ain't' one time because it sounded 'Southern'. I think the West, in addition to the Northeast, would be horrible for gaming if you're from the South.

I agree with many of the posters on here that I think the Midwest is your best bet. There is less regional snobbery in the Midwest than you see in other places because it seems like everybody is dying to get out.
