Getting in the mood to game
I will be the first to admit that I can be shy or introverted at times. However, I feel I need to get into the mood to socialize and what not. Sometimes I just don't feel like it, even if I am in a social environment.

What are some things you guys do to amp yourself up to go out and socialize/game?

Watch an episode from Californication? Hang out with friends, roommates, even strike up friendly conversations with strangers to get in the social mindset of conversational give and take.

RE: Getting in the mood to game
Back when I ran with a crew, it was easy to pre game and get in the mood to go out

We would get together and before too long someone would start in about another guy's else's outfit, or his busted looking shoes etc. Sometimes it would be just verbal one-upping one another by saying who was going to pull the most freaks that particular night. it served to not only help us sharpen up our style game, but keep everyone loose and witty

It's harder for me to feel as social once the cold weather hits. Since I mostly fly solo now, I have to do things that get me a good mood; a brisk workout, digging in my music collection, or just calling one of my game aware compadres to chop it up

RE: Getting in the mood to game
Having a ready-to-go playlist of all the songs that make you feel like the biggest badass on planet Earth works wonders for me. Also, when I know I will be making approaches, I will start talking to anyone to get myself in a talkative mood. I'm an introvert by nature and I can't just go right into an approach without warming up first.

1. Listen to upbeat music that makes me smile (e.g. James Brown); I do not listen to music that pumps me up (e.g. 2Pac). I leave that type of music for the gym.
2. Small talk with anyone I can: barista, bartender, ugly girl, ugly guy, etc.
3. Watch an episode of a comedy show.
4. Exercise. The endorphines make me happy, which makes me talkative.

It's not a complete solution, but it sure does help.

I always listen to the first minute of this song a few times before I go out. Gets me jacked up and motivated to take life by the balls and seize the day.

Reporter: What keeps you awake at night?
General James "Mad Dog" Mattis: Nothing, I keep other people awake at night.

This post Gio made about being social is gold. I have it bookmarked and I read it from time to time before I go out to do approaches.

I'd say some rap and blues songs as well as some good Martini should set you in motion for the game.
A good mood is of course crucial for a successful game, otherwise you'd come out empty-handed thanks to the chicks' unending demands and ever higher ego.

You need to ask yourself, are you not gaming a girl you are interested in because you are scared? or are you not gaming a girl you are interested in because at that current moment what you're doing is more exciting than gaming her?

If you answered because you are scared, then tell yourself you'll get over your fears, and approach her. Even if it's awkward as fuck. Once you do this enough, you will become accustomed to approaching in more instances and that idea of being in the "mood" will fade because you will start approaching out of instinct.

Giovannys post in Post 8 sounds right.

Open guys. They will almost always respond, and most of them will talk to you for a bit, and some will even become useful contacts.
Then you will be warm, and can talk to girls more fluidly.

Also you have to think of it kind of like a job. You may not want to work, but if you don't you'll be fired and the paycheck won't arrive at the end of the month. Same with chasing girls. It is only by consistently putting in effort that you land your windfalls.
