I recently was part of a group delivering Christmas trees and presents to needy families.

I also helped raise money for a school thats underfunded and serves the latino community.

I did a free hug campaign where I have away hugs to people if they wanted one (its amazing how much that matters, some people really need them)

I'm about to be involved with another charity drive and I'm working on a plan to start a charity to raise money to send veterans with ptsd and depression to a clinic that gives an emotional intelligence class (i also attended it and it changed my life) which I'm convinced will help these guys and keep them from killing themselves.

I met a poor fisherman the other day ,chat with him for a bit , then he said to me that some kid stole his dusty shoes . I tell him to be careful the next time.

I return the next day , and offer him a new pair of shoes I had just received from London .

I actually never wore them .

Seeing that smile on his face was something I could never buy with money.

Doing this stuff makes me happy.

Seeing sad people is depressing to me.

I try to be a positive influence on the world around me.

This is a very good lesson that I needed to learn again. The best way to cure feeling down is to focus outward and brighten someones day. It's very easy and means the world to them.

Did the same thing today.

She's nice, feminine, can cook, is attractive. However, I like the feeling of getting up and doing whatever I want without being held back because I had X planned with her.

In the end, she wants a LTR and her clock is ticking....so I released her back into the wild so she can get a shot at her dream.

I got my friends drunk on Christmas day. All the liquor stores were closed here and nobody else had anything. I sacrificed a 1.75L bottle of vodka from my collection to get about 4 of us smashed.

Was in starbucks, and a poor kid(6-7 years old) was outside selling candy. Told him to come in and bought the candy. Tasted like shit btw haha. Ask him if he was hungry he said yeah and got him something to snack on. Talked to him for a little bit, my spanish is rusty, cool little dude who was putting the moves on my side piece haha. As he was leaving, gave me a ballon as thanks. Little homie was cooler than most of the fuckers I met that weekend.

Went to a hospital I have connections with and brought flowers for the very sick and old

Helped an old women carry her groceries

Made sure to call everyone for chanukah, took Rabbi's grand kids to the park

Saw a muslim lady and her kid waiting in the rain in front of a bus stop. offered them a ride. They accepted

I sent my ex-wife a decent amount of money as a New Year's present. Not out of obligation or alimony or anything like that. We were very close during our marriage and continue to keep in touch. I also know that she's somewhat struggling so it felt like the right thing to do. She responded and appreciated the gift. I told her I'll be there for her anytime she needs help. Life is good when you have people to care for.

I was in India a few weeks ago. There was a man in his 60s, about 5 feet tall, probably no more than 45kg, riding a tricycle barefoot with a wagon stacked about 2.5 metres high with old newspapers, probably for recycling. He got about half way up the hill, but couldn't manage it any more. He tried to push, unsuccessfully, as literally hundreds of people passed him in cars and motorbikes. I dropped my bag to push him up the hill. When we got to the top, he pedaled away without acknowledging me - it must me weird when you've lived your life at the bottom of the heap having whitey help you out.

I knowingly got scammed by a little kid.

He came up to crying his eyes out about how he lost his phone and couldn't get home. I knew pretty early it was a scam but the kid was really putting the effort into it. Those were real tears! I'm sure he was a gypsy and his mom was probably nearby watching.

I gave him some money anyway. Who wants to refuse a child bawling his eyes out?

I volunteer at a food shelter on the weekends. Mainly, handing out donated food items to the poor. We have whatever we have but sometimes the people come in have certain needs or preferences. One time, we had an old asian guy who came in. I was working the canned goods section. He said he really liked chili. Usually, we have stuff like garbanzo beans or beets. I told him I didn't think we had stuff like that. But I took time out to look through all the different canned goods we had on different shelves. I found a can of chlli on the top shelf towards the back and gave it to him. He had the biggest smile on his face and said, "Oh thanks, i really like chili".

I still remember him gleaming after that, and probably will for a while.

Not long ago I did something that involed just simple hugs to strangers.

It actually got a lot of attention and is on youtube so I don't want to be too specific.

It's amazing that such a simple gesture can mean so much to people. Some people started crying. It was a moving experience.

Probably he literally couldn't compute what just happened. Especially if he's low caste/untouchable.

Didn't feel like cooking. Ordered a pizza, it was an hour late so I called the manager.

Turns out when you set up a dominoes pizza profile, the slip that is printed out on the pizza only displays five or six characters for an apartment number next to the address. The website misled me into thinking I had to put in the apartment name and then the apartment number in that particular slot.

The manager said they'd redeliver right away. I tipped the pizza guy six bucks for the trouble of delivering a pizza twice. I've had too many friends work in pizza delivery to not treat them well.

I think it's inspiring to others that may decide to go and do something nice also because they read that even Suits pulled the corn cobb out of his ass and helped someone too.

If people can't do something positive without someone else bragging about their "good deeds" first, they probably wouldn't have anyway.
