Ok, so I'm posting this in the Newb thread because I know one should not hesitate to approach regardless of an IOI. It is something I would like to get past.

I can detect classic IOI's from women (eye contact, glances, etc.)

One thing I want to ask though is let's say you're walking down the street.

Women are brilliant at doing the thousand yard stare thing, where an escaped rhino could run past them on the sidewalk and they'd be able to look straight ahead as if they didn't see it.

Some will look away as they pass by you, and others, who seem interested, will flip their hair as they look at you.

The one that I was wondering about is where they are doing the stare into space but simultaneously sort of have their body position open to you (not looking at you but almost have their face angled at you as they pass)?

Or, when they become slightly jittery (eyes darting around) as you walk toward each other. I can't tell if they are are worried I'm going to say something, or hoping I will. I never do these two types of approaches
so far so I don't know...??

Lately, I've mainly been focussing on talking to ones who give IOI's b/c just doing that is producing results for me, and the street is not my favorite environment either, but I wonder if I'm missing obvious opportunities.

And yes, I know there is one way to find out...

Good looking guys get more obvious IOIs in the the classic sense.

I've winged with a buff, well-dressed, good looking guy before (girls have walked up and told him "you're beautiful"). I saw how girls reacted to him. He was totally oblivious while I saw the obvious.

He talked to these girls in the most boring way possible and they ate it up. The funny thing is he'd reject them left and right for being boring. The looks on their faces.

Contrast to me talking to the friend, it became a Herculean feat of me talking while she lost her attention span, started gawking at him and then proceeding to try and ask me questions about him.

Right, those are the kinds of IOIs most guys dream about.

Now for the everyman, the street is a harsh environment. Take a city like NYC, you'll have girls rushing by to get from point A to B. Maybe they have the bitch face on full blast. There are salesmen, homeless guys, orbiters, bootcampers, promoters and other hordes vying for her attention.

It doesn't cross my mind anymore to think something like "Is she worried I'm going to say something" as she walks by. That says "I don't want to bother her" which will guarantee you staying silent.

Other than complete disinterest by walking without any noticeable change in behavior when she's around me, if a girl reacts to me, I assume she's interested. Even if she acts weird. A reaction means you had an effect on her. There's your IOI.

Contrast to my good looking friend's situation, most girls won't reveal their hand right away unless they see another male 9 that they're trying to cash in on. The everyman will get these subtle (sometimes even seemingly negative) reactions.

I've had girls walk past me and as they got closer they'd turned their heads away 90 degrees as if a pizza sign was more interesting than me. And when I approached they crumbled. One even apologized for "appearing bitchy".

Cliche as it is: it's all about the vibe and you never know until you try.

Good looking guy game is pretty controversial around these parts. Few people seem to have an objective attitude about it.

In my opinion you are facing paralysis by analysis. Fuck IOIs. If you see a girl who you like then approach her. Who cares if they are hoping or worried or hoping that you will say something. IOIs are just a plus.

Are you missing opportunities? Probably.

Get over your looks and just do the work. Stop worrying about how game is different because you are good looking. I've been there. The best thing you can do is get out there and experiment.

You still have to calibrate your game as a good looking guy. Looks are just another input in the equation.

Was just talking about this with another forum member. We were punting out the IOIs we got on the street. It's surprising how many you miss.

Now that I'm watching for it, I can pick up on what I was too self conscious or maybe oblivious to see before.

I agree with you guys...

I would add that my experience should (in my opinion) put to rest the question of whether you need game whether you are good looking or not. You do need it...
I could elaborate but prefer to leave it at that.

The primary one is women do not believe what they see.

If you were a woman, with paint on your face, fake nails, fake hair, fake boobs, fake height, and often pretending to be this cool image of yourself - and constantly seeing guys change the way they talk to you based on what they see - you wouldn't believe your own two eyes either.

So in a typical pick up scenario - where you approach, she goes on defense and unconsciously or consciously fucks with you by what she says.

Can a 102 lb size zero chicks that bleeds for 10 days out the month unsettle a guy that ways 80 lbs more and is 3 times as strong?

But the male mind thinks that if a chick waves him over, or she approaches him, he can just assume the lay.

No, all that is someone seeing your resume on Monster.com and calling you for the interview.

Now you gotta pass the interview.

If you look good, often the interview is a formality, but those gimme interviews often reveal some bad shit about good candidates.

So if you're a good looking guy, and the chick opens you/winks at you/extended eye contact, or some other "pre-approach invitation"

All that means is that the game is on, and she's throwing you a soft ball.

Your job is to knock it out of the park.

Does your appearance matches your behavior and personality?

She sees you looking good, well dressed, fit - she assumes that you're the kind of guy that's got his shit together and is going somewhere and will pound the shit out of her pussy.

So if you get the invite, your job is to blow her out of the water.

She'll give you some token resistance type things, but "don't fuck it up" game implies that you answer her questions, when REAL GAME means that you win the frame battle, and get her to answer your questions.

Chick says, "Hey good looking"
You walk into that kind of set up and play it up, warm and full of life.

The_CEO you are missing opportunities and all that stuff is just in your head. I used to avoid girls with "bitch faces" and who have headphones. But now I don't. I don't rely on IOIs anymore, but when it happens I approach regardless.

Due to where I'm living now I find my best prospects seem to be day, on the street,
and also public transportation, which for me is another daunting environment.

short answer:
My advice is to just approach 20+ girls with a bitch-face and then the rest won't faze you as much. This goes for anything that causes you to freeze up.

For 2 years I saw and gamed tons of these girls running around Shibuya and Tokyo, it's all in the Bang Osaka thread. Japanese girls don't use their faces to the extent us Westerners do. So when I first got there I was looking for any clues, whether it be on her face or in her body language. But I got nothing. Europe is similar. It's not common for them to walk around with some goofy-fake-ass smile. Or greet you merrily and warm up to you within 2mins.

Sometimes I felt, like I was talking to a corpse. Because they don't give you anything to work with. Just a blank face. (street approaches) Hence, why I don't put too much value on IOIs, phone numbers, headphones, if she smokes, tattoos, her family values, etc. They were hard to read no matter the visual or verbal clue. Which is why I stopped relying on what my eyes were telling me. Roosh also said something similar about Ukraine girls if you read bang ukraine.
