I chatted up two girls at the bar tonight. Banter joking. I think they were both attracted though the unattractive one asked me more personal questions.

Before I left , I said "hey yall are cool...let me text you sometime and we'll meet up here again." they both said sure. My phone was dead so I had them write down their numbers on the back of my bar receipt. The ugly one wrote both the names and numbers but they both kind of 'participated' in it. Making sure the numbers were right it seemed.

How do I proceed with getting a date with the cute one? Only text her? I'm thinking she may not want to 'go behind her friends back.'......but maybe so....

you could also try to get them both out again and isolate the cutie but that's a lot more effort

Two options, depending on what you believe the cute girl was attracted to you.

A. High level of confidence the cute one was into you: text her directly. Ask her on a date directly, making it unambiguous that you want her. And if she later responds, "well want about Jane (or whoever the other girl is)?", you respond, "maybe next time. Right now, I want to get to hang out with you."

B. Level level of certainty: text both of them to some group party/event. If you can get them out, then make sure you isolate the cute one and start escalating with her directly and away from her friend.

Update...Texted the cute one. She texted back about an hour later...exclamation points and such.

I'll hit her up after next weekend for drinks.
