I don't know what it is or how to fix it, but whatever.

Don't mass swipe. I think Tinder puts you at the bottom of the pile for every girl if you do that.

I've heard this logic before, but it's flawed. If you're willing say a huge chunk of the guys don't count because they run terrible game, then wouldn't a huge chunk of the women also not count because they're fat, ugly, stupid, nasty, unfeminine, just there to attention whore, etc.? In fact, the M:F ratio only among people who aren't complete dregs might be even worse than the overall ratio, as it seems to require a higher level of desperation for a woman to join OKCupid.

RE: Did dating apps kill traditional online dating?
I re-opened my ¨PoF account recently. It is a completely different site than what it was. I used to get hundreds of messages if I ran the iMacro script on the Meet Me feature through Firefox. This time, I only got a few messages. The orthodox reply rate has collapsed too.

I used to subscribe on OKCupid which allowed me to use 'Hot' as a search criterion. I did this because I know that because of male competition, relatively less women and therefore increased selling power, most women will have inflated values. Even with the hot search option applied, a minority of the returned results are genuinely hot.

Having said all that, I think Tinder has peaked too.

Tinder is killing off other online dating sites, I agree.

It's also killing off more traditional ways of meeting girls, which is good for the daygamers. I've actually used "would you prefer I met you on tinder?" when daygaming as a tease when they say things like "this is so weird", etc.

the quality these days is tremendously shitty on "places" like okcupid, badoo, etc.

I agree OKC is a chubby-chasers's paradise while badoo and Tagged have literally more fake profiles than real ones (don't make me screenshot some of their "profiles" while in search mode).

A couple of years ago netlog and zorbia were quite good but they kinda faded and myspace wasn't that good but wasn't terrible either - however myspace is now officially dead.

In fact other than facebook can't think of any other website where you'd get anything over 5/10 that's not fake.

that's the siting experience these days...and yes tinder gained some ground.

Yes. Dating apps gives chics access to guys who look good but have zero game. So yes, the app turns into a validation tool.

I wrote about this under the Happn thread (new dating app):

I've been fucking around with Tinder, OKC and POF for a year and still the notch count is at 0. I got maybe 2-3 dates out of it, and they were chicks I wasn't really interested in so it didn't go beyond the meetup.

I might just leave my tinder set at 30 miles so I can get all the hotties from the nearby college town, a 20 minute drive is worth some pussy. Even in my local town Tinder is way better than the OKC/POF trolls. OKC seems to have way more unfuckables.
