I see many young women and men walking around wincing on the polluted streets of Cebu holding makeshift filters like handkerchiefs over their faces.

The clear difference in beauty even between an 18 year old and a 20 or 21 year old ( of course girls under 18 are completely invisible) highlights how toxic the environment can be in Third World.

I agree about Philippines but not about Russia or Ukraine.

I was born in Russia and lived there through 90s and early 2000s when the life was way rougher when it is now and it wasn't THAT bad.
