Any Gym recommendations for the DC area?
I recently moved to NE DC. I used to go to Lifetime in Columbia. Reading some reviews online is depressing for Gyms in DC.

I would like to max out at $100 a month. I would prefer to pay around $50. Must have free weights and some Cardio equipment.

Thanks

Balance Gyms tend to be the best bang for the buck.

I'm at Thomas Circle and its $60/month no contract.

Gold's Gym is known to be the cheapest. Followed by Washington Sports Club.

While Vida is like one big gay club scene, they do have a great selection of equipment, including squat racks. Unless you're doing a Cross Fit program, finding a gym under $100 should not be difficult - the exception is LA Sports Club at the Ritz.

I usually choose the gym closest to me, otherwise I know I'll find an excuse to not go.
