Veloce, you should start a men's style blog.

Suits belong in the boardroom. A suit is a very formal piece of attire. I dont think they really belong in da club (you could spill a drink on it!). Some guys may disagree with me about that. As for blazers & jeans, they are almost always acceptable no matter what you do: club, lounge, drinks with friends at the bar, whatever.

I here you, although G Manifesto might disagree if he was still around. Smile

PM me for accommodation options in Bangkok.

The thing is there are suits and then there are suits.

Most worker drones wear suits that are either ill fitting or are so conservative in cut that it would be impossible to feel like a playboy irrespective of circumstance.

I personally prefer the jeans and jacket combo but the right suit can look amazing.

My problem is that I just don't really enjoy wearing a suit. Everyone tells me how much better I look with one on but I can never get into the habit (outside of work). The effect it has on women is undeniable - they give me infinitely more looks when I'm suited, but suits just aren't very comfortable. Maybe that would change with an expensive tailored number, but I'm not going to wear that down the local pub or to the club am I?

The answer is to get a relatively inexpensive suit and have it altered so it fits perfectly.

Then wear it to the club Banana

Nothing worse than an aging hipster still holding onto the dream Laugh

I feel where you're coming from. On one hand you have your style and sense of identity and you want to hold on to it forever. But you also want to fit in and be respected in the bigger pond. It's a tough line to walk.

I have friends still living in that "Time Warp" as I call it. If you choose to live that way you'll have to prove yourself twice as hard just for half the respect. It gets old after a while.

From a getting poosy standpoint I don't think it makes too much of a difference. As long as you stay fit and your game is tight poosy will always be there.

But if you feel limited career-wise it might be time to switch it up. Don't do it for the bitches. Do it for yourself.
