Everyone loves the Scandis it seems, and truth be told, we don't cause much trouble anywhere.

I'd rather have a US passport though. The US has a lot of agreements that most don't know about, you can own a business in Thailand for example and the US is significantly more likely to raise hell for its citizens stuck abroad than any other nation and they have the power to do so. The UK doesn't give a damn neither does the Scandi countries, which have little power anyway. The US also have the biggest embassies in the best locations.

From what British friends have told me dealing with their citizen services abroad is a serious nuisance if you have to get something done.

U.S. citizen services has been pretty good and surprisingly polite whenever i've had to add pages or do some other thing in Asia. Although the $82 fucking dollars (when it used to be free) they charged for adding pages is extortionate.

UK embassy won't add pages to passports anymore.

They used to but since we switched to bio-metric passports, they wont do it

My last "ten year" passport lasted about 3.5 years before I ran out of space and needed to order a new one.

I have my parents to thank me for getting me a US and EU passport when I was a teen yet that still does not get me into "poossy paradise" (Russia) without a visa

What does that have to do with getting a Singapore passport after the fact? There isn't a wheel you spin after the citizenship ceremony where 1 in 10 people walk away with a million bucks.

It no doubt gets you into Ukraine without one though, in which case I'd be more than satisfied.

The con's of Russia do not outweigh the pro's IMO.

Most of the time you are entitled to the passport when you're actually born in that country, so I looked at the situation as if the person was born in the said country. Being born in US and UK may entitle you to a powerful passport, but I'll still choose Singapore,Qatar,Switzerland over US and UK. The tax advantages that Singapore and Qatar provides you is enough to choose them over US and UK. In the states you pay 40% income tax if your income exceeds a certain amount, in other developed countries like Denmark it goes up to 70%, I personally wouldnt want to pay for other peoples food stamp benefits.

I predominantly travel in the EU where it doesnt get stamped so I'm fine with not having extra pages.

As an experince, Turkish and USA passport are great combo and would open almost all the doors on the world.

Turkish people constantly complain about their passport situation.

Its costs about $500 to get / renew one even if you are Turkish, you need a visa to get anywhere and, even then, they only give you a 5 year passport.

It's the governments way of effectively trapping Turkish people in the country as much as possible.

To be honest I've never been to Albania. But I have a friend who runs a sweatshop type of business there, he said he was banging some of his factory workers regularly. I seriously don't know why I wrote Albania there, I think it has something to do with this anecdote deep in my mind. Oh and his factory workers were quite decent, in the 6-7 range.

Don't get how they can rank the US in the number 2 group considering the reciprocal fee issue. Just off the top of my head a person with a UK or German passport could go to China, Tanzania, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia for free or low fees. An American would have to shell out at least $100 for each of them, often over $150 as in China and Brazil. That is a HUGE difference. I blew at least 1k plus in visa fees when I traveled long term simply because I had a US passport.

The US government is absolutely stupid for charging other nations so much in fees which causes them to charge Americans high fees. It just hurts tourism to the US and hurts Americans traveling abroad. Of course, it is not like the US government gives a fuck about its own citizens so whatever. The land of raping the little guy.
