You can live quite well in a popular Eastern European city for around $200 pw. (excl. accom)
This city is on the coast, is a holiday destination for many Eastern europeans, and that $200 price includes eating out in restaurants & drinking, every single night.
Accommodation is extra, but I found a good room in a modern hotel with satellite tv, wi-fi, air-con in the centre (3 minutes from the action & 5 mins from beach) for $25 pn.
Long-stay, & hostels are even cheaper.
This dark horse was voted 5th best city for the worlds most attractive women, by Readers Digest (despite all the other top 9 cities were capitals or bigger, well known cities).

Unionjack, you mean its possible to live well on less than 10 $ per day in Bulgaria including eating, drinking and going out? It sounds almost too good to be true. Could you give more details and examples about this cost of living?

Solik - I said you can live well on $200 per week, which is $28 a day (NOT $10).
And yes, that includes beach in the day, eating out in restaurants every night, and then drinking in bars every night.
And this is one of the most expensive cities in Bulgaria, visited by many Eastern europeans as a holiday destination, and voted top 5 for attractive women in the world.
So I'm sure it can be done for even less money, in other Bulgarian cities.
