Life is strange sometimes in that you end up doing something you wouldn't have imagined a month or two before, but here I am about a week from opening a gaming site that currently has a team of 9 writers. Here's the email I sent to beta testers last week:

I know. If you told me three months ago that I would start a video game site, I would have said you're crazy, but then #gamergate
happened.

What Is Gamergate?

Gamergate is a revolt against gaming sites that have been corrupted by social justice warriors and feminists. A more detailed background on gamergate can be found in this Return Of Kings post I wrote (read "The Birth Of Gamergate" section). As you know, I have been fighting against SJW's and feminists for a long time, so I've been eagerly helping those involved in gamergate to spread their message.

The idea for this site came when I wanted to expand coverage of gamergate on ROK. I put up a post calling for one weekly contributor. I got over 25 emails from gamers who wanted to write, enough to assemble an entirely new team.

For two days I thought about the opportunity that just revealed itself to me. Do I want to open a video game site? Does gaming conflict with my message of self-improvement? Would operating a site on a more "mainstream" topic help push back against feminist infiltration in the culture? Do I have the experience necessary to open a site on a topic I know very little about?

Making the decision

I have a younger brother who considers himself a gamer (he doesn't play the game like his big bro but he does lift weights). I asked him about gamergate and his thoughts. He knew about it and disagreed with SJW activism. He's not a beta male or white knight, thankfully.

"I was thinking about opening a video game site for guys," I said.

"What do you think?"

"That would be cool!" he replied.

One popular sales technique is scarcity. If you put a time limit on what you're offering, you can cause the customer to act quickly and make an impulse decision. Even though I fully understand this concept, I think it pushed me into deciding that yes, I should open a video game site. The emails were sitting in my inbox and gamergate was raging and there was no established site that could speak for those on the side that I knew was right.

The culture is rejecting SJW medicine

In the past year, I've noticed people who don't even play the game (approaching women) send me emails of support. Even girls are emailing me to say how much they read Return Of Kings, a site devoted to hypermasculinity and not intended for women at all. Something is definitely happening in that the SJW narrative is being rejected by those who believe men should be men and women should be women, and that normal male behavior isn't sexist or misogynist.

Therefore I'm creating a video game site where men can have a safe space to discuss their hobby. It will be a place free of SJW and feminist views. It will be a place where guys can be guys without being shamed or judged. I won't force-feed you ideology like the existing gaming sites have been doing for so long. You don't have
to live life like I do.

I provide the platform

I'm almost done constructing a site that will be a platform for gamers who are sympathetic to the gamergate cause and who believe that a man isn't a misogynist just because he disagrees with what the mainstream media tells him to believe.

It will have a team of weekly writers while also allowing for regular readers to submit their opinions, stories, and reviews. It will have an ethics policy and an ethics officer. It will cater to gamers instead of attacking them. Once the site is running smoothly, I will get out of the way and let gamers share the articles they want.

So there you have it: a guy who doesn't play video games is opening a gaming site. If you have some comments about how this site should be, or have an idea for an article you'd like to submit, let me know.

So far the response I've been getting on Twitter and via email has been very positive. I hope to launch it next Monday.

Awesome! Congrats on the new project -- I'm sure it will be successful. The timing definitely couldn't be better. How are you planning to get the word out about it to gamers?

Is it set up like ROK where anybody can write, or is it just 9 writers that write all the time?
Also you might not get the writers invited to the E3 that easily unless GG make some significant headway in what is consider my soggy knist. (My soggy knee is how gamergaters mock the term).

Yeah it will be similar in format to ROK. Guest submissions will be encouraged.

Gaming on a budget is a fun topic(taking advantage of steam sales). This is something that kotaku does pretty well oddly. But gawker might go away. Its really stupid and caving into peer pressure to buy a game at launch. The extras are not worth it.

I might write something since I know quite a bit about it.

Although I doubt you will get E3 invites or invited pax. I think you need to cowtow for SJW for that. But it seems like the industry is going toward streaming the stuff live.

I hope it succeeds and developers take notice. There should be a place where people can talk about the things they like doing and share ideas without being hounded by mentally ill freaks.

I'm going to take Robert Conquest's second law (any organization not explicitly right-wing sooner or later becomes left-wing) and modify it:

Any community not explicitly anti-SJW from the start sooner or later will be taken over by SJWs.

For that reason, I thank God for RVF and RoK, where I can read and learn from sane people with all sorts of life experiences, opinions and perspectives.

RVF, RoK, D&P and a host of others I'm forgetting are like the Noah's Ark of the internet.

Your potential to make money with video game site is higher than a Poosy game site.

Your video section should feature game walk through, you can make good money as a component to your site.

I am amazed how much money is in the video game industry. I dont play games either but I have seen the numbers and thought about starting something in this space never will.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if within a year or two the video game site becomes more popular than RoK and the blog. Despite what the SJWs like to say, the demographic of serious console and PC gamers is still overwhelmingly male, and due to SJW takeover of the media there are basically no current offerings for male-focused gaming websites. The potential market is huge.

Roosh, if the gaming site picks up steam quickly and you can tell it's going to be a big hit, you should consider doing the same thing with a sports website. Sports are another area that have been infiltrated deeply by SJWs in recent years, and sports media no longer even pretends to cater to its overwhelmingly male demographics.

One thing this gaming site should do is make article(s) pointing out SJW/leftist elements in specific games. That way those who want to avoid them will have a guide to help them do so.

I hope so Deluge. A non-SJW perspective in video games is what internet was waiting for a long time. If we can get some red-pill in the gaming comunity, the better.
