Like most, I love warm weather all year around.

However, I have come embrace the hard reality that my skin is just too fair to be continuously exposed to intense sun on a regular basis. I'm going to be at the doctors having cancer burned off of me every month, for the rest of my life, unless I take good care of my skin.

Are there any desirable climates in the world that are more kind to very fair skin? I'd really hate to believe that I was destined solely for places with a cold climate much of the year, but I guess that is where I will have to live if I can't find an alternative.

uhh..comfortable...as in not very cold in the winter. I know this is a fine line, but I had to ask. Heat, in and of itself, isn't required.

I don't like intense heat either. I went to Bangkok once in August and could barely do anything just from the heat.

I'd recommend visiting subtropical locales in winter. It's still be in the 60's/70's/80's, but cooler at night. I find this much more pleasant although it does keep women away from the beaches.

I've visited Mexico in February, Hong Kong in January, Arizona and Houston in February and will likely visit Brazil in the middle of their winter.

For year round nice weather-- just California, or places like Australia/NZ, maybe Buenos Aires/Southern Brazil, or of course, you can do six months in the tropics for winter and come back for the summers.

Or you can do any of a number of Latin American cities like Medellin or Mexico City, spring like weather year round, just wear a hat, but beware as the sun becomes much stronger at high altitudes.

Or maybe constantly traveling to keep an endless spring going?

I would opt for a mediteranean climate, it's hot from june until september and soft September / October, April/ May /June. It's never really cold either.
