Blizzards style has always been to steal the best elements of other games, and combine them all in one.

WoW took a lot from Everquest. Warcraft borrowed heavily from command & conquer. Diablo owes a lot to D&D.

Overwatch looks like it borrows from Team Fortress, fighting games, and the animation style of Dreamworks.

Even the characters are borrowed from various sci-fi and comic book tropes. The Gorilla is part Beast from the X-men, and part DC's talking ape villain.

The cinematic trailer made me think it was pretty cool, but not that original.

The "controversy" around their female characters is just nonsense. A realistic fighting game with women ends with raping the enemy prisoners. No one wants to see that.

Could me fun. Not sure if I've got the time to take up a new game, but I dig Blizzards stuff.

Regardless of the social issues, which are pointless for video games, I must say the gameplay trailer seems to have promise.

Definitely rips off Team Fortress 2 type gameplay, but also adds typical Blizzard simplicity and innovation. Could be a really great game guys.

Blizzard is currently the Nintendo of the gaming world right now - they haven't made a truly bad game in over a decade. Let's see if this new game lives up to the company's reputation, or if the gameplay suffers in favor of political correctness.

At some point, video games became all about "story" and not about gameplay. It's 90 minutes of cutscenes. That's when I went into my attic, dusted off my Sega Dreamcast, and popped in one of these:

I went to check out the game on /v/ to see what's what. Fanart (porn) has already been made.
The Brit Tomboy character is probably who Kotaku and such like. So there being lots of sexy images of her must be disheartening. However I found that she looked like a little boy in a lot of those images so she's probably still safe in their eyes.

But that evil spider lady I think represents a huge leap forward

Looks like a kids game art wise and story wise. Then the gameplay looks like a Team Fortress rip off mixed with Halo. I think I will pass on this one, despite having played every Blizz game except Hearthstone.

For these last 2 Blizzard releases, I have passed on them. It seems clear to me that Blizz is going into new directions. That's fine I will just play Assassins Creed, Farcry, GTA5 and any other red/purple pill-ish games until a new Half-life and Counterstrike come out. Makes me no difference at all.

I think Dragon Age Inquisition has this game trumped on many levels.

Gay romances for both male and female characters. None of the romances for the male character are attractive. One of them is scarred and has short hair. They also included a transgender NPC, just because. It looks like a really good game soiled by SJW propaganda.

Damn, I loved the original dragon age and now I look at the romance options for the newest one and SON I AM DISAPPOINT. So only TWO (1 with scar+shorthair) romance options for straight guys? WTF...

I'm still getting the game and probably gonna play the hell out of it, but things like these make me hate how feminism is affecting gaming.

I hear the game is now boring and losing players daily from some friends, can anyone confirm? I prefer Paladins where the females are more sexy and feminine but playing a female character or vs one in a war environment doesn't cut it for me! Feels soft like a beta! Pip is clearly fucking gay!

I just took a look at all the female characters in Overwatch and most are all dysfunctional dykes . Looks like 30-40% characters are female. Blizzard will never get a cent of my money or Hollywood!!



I bought a new computer last year where I checked out some of the current games (haven't played games in years). Most games have fallen into PC cultural where it's horrible and makes the game boring!! It's just like shitty Hollywood movies today! The games have lost their muscularity which is why men play video games to feel like real men (warriors). Having these female characters make games feel soft and boring now. Even with outstanding graphics, it's all about the gameplay in the end!

GTA 5 story line is a fucking joke!! His wife cheats on him and you can't put a bullet in her head or kick her to the curve. Next his daughter is hoe and tries out for porn. I stop playing when I came back into the game and my character slept with another guy saying some gay shit! At least CS and TF are alot of fun still with all male characters!

On the plus side, due to being force to avoid toxic TV and video games today due to this PC bullshit, I'm more happier living my life and getting shit done! I wasted so much time playing games and watching TV which I regret!

I thought Josephine was attractive in DA Inquisition but I might be in the minority here. I could never get into Overwatch though, the art style looks silly and I didnt like the lack of the story. I prefer The Division when it comes to shooter MMOs.

There have been plenty of games and movies in past decades with "strong female protagonists" - Terminator franchise, Alien franchise, video games such as Tomb Raider, etc. Fact is the majority of hardcore gamers are men, so there will obviously be disproportionate marketing to male demographics; for the same reason that most daytime TV shows and commercials are marketed to women's interests.

The whole thing is just a regurgitated talking point designed to sell clickbait to disgruntled fat bimbos looking for something to blame for why their lives are so utterly shitty, it's just "outrage porn" and deserves no serious discussion.

That, and it's also just pro-corporate propaganda shrewdly marketed as "feminism", which is why the majority of it centers around "getting more women" into boring, white male CEO-dominated corporate jobs that most men hate, as opposed to trying to get more women into entrepreneurship, the classical humanities, or any industry not primarily dominated by corporations.

Ever since the end of WWII when women started working full-time corporate jobs in greater numbers, corporations just realized how much more they could maximize profits if they were able to convince women that slaving away for 50 hours a week for white male executive was somehow "empowerment", so they've been heavily marketing this propaganda ever since.

Played OverWatch enough to form an opinion.

A game where you are at the mercy of terrible team mates putting you at a severe disadvantage if your opposition has even a mediocre ability to form tactics isn't my type of fun. They call it "tilting", stupid word for it. I just call it rage inducing.

The gameplay is easy enough and there are plenty of skill caps to be had but boy oh boy does it fall flat on its arse as a competitive game. It pales in comparison to real competitive games.

A game which requires a healer, DPS and tank combo with multiple picks of the same role is not balanced, and therefore shouldn't be competitive. But Blizz game theory is pathalogical and they will persist in making it what it cannot be.

They dick around with the fun factor and it bores people. At least in CSGO you can fuck the opposition up by yourself or 2 of you.

These nagging feminists want game developers to spend thousands of hours making a game about obese stank tranny freaks which appeals to less than 5% of gamers, and then will haggle over the pounds of fat being too little when it's done, at which point the game tanks.

If you ask them to spend 30 minutes in the gym each day and put down the fork that's too demanding and misogynistic however. Men are supposed to shut the fuck up keep the power on keep the water running and achieve an erection when there is so much fat you have to lift 30 pounds of it to get to the snatch.
