You guys have pretty much covered it. I looked at a few film clips of some of these stars, and it is amazing what a difference a little femininity makes in a woman. These girls weren't cookie cutter at all, not the simpering man pleasing losers the feminists would have you believe they were.

Debbie Reynolds for example, yeah, a good smile, also though, talent for days and such a positive attitude. It is almost alien to the modern man. She is what Laci Green could have been if she weren't deranged, learned a skill, and tried. Look at this video from Singing in the Rain. Her good spirits are infectious:

Saint was more like Grace Kelly, a cool customer, although her sexuality smolders just below the surface, and she is way more than her looks. First time I saw "North by Northwest," I thought, who the hell is that? She just about jumped off the screen.

I think the surgery started in the early sixties and was extremely rare back then, so I think it's a safe bet that those are real. That stuff is completely out of control nowadays. I remember in 1999, I was in my hometown and some guy told me that earlier in the night, he met a girl with implants and I remember thinking how rare that was.

Not to hijack the thread, but even watching that didn't feel right. Vivien Leigh did such an incredible job as Scarlett that those other women just pale in compare to her. She is also a out of date by the 50s, but few modern actresses can hold a candle to her talent and beauty. In fact, I can't think of a single modern actress that could rival the kind of talent she displayed throughout that film.
