I just got a chance to watch this last night and really enjoyed it.

I'm not a fan of calling anything a "red pill movie" (or book or TV show or anything) because the people who write and direct and make these things live in the real world and see how things are so of course some truths will make it in there, along with at least some falsities coming from how much the author tried to insert their own ideals into it.

So I don't think birdman is a "red pill movie ", but there is some game hidden in there and some great critiques of pop culture and pop ideas.

Plus the entire movie is one long take which really adds to the feeling and energy of it. If it's showing near you and you have any interest in movies it's worth watching.

on long take, like no cut aways or scene changes?

Yeah, the whole movie is made to look like one long take, however there are scene changes like one time the camera pans up from a scene on the roof of a building to the skyline and it goes from night to morning and then it pans back down to a character walking from the street into the building. There are a few tricks like that but for the most part its really long real takes with the transitions between scenes happening as the camera follows a character from a dressing room walking through the theater to the stage for example. The whole movie takes place over the course of about 2 days all in one Broadway theater.

Really want to see this movie. I read that it is expanding to other theaters, hope it makes it out here so I can check it out.
