I recently went to a 4square event in Vegas. It's a 100 bucks a ticket and all u can drink and eat. I took my date. I went to the same event in DC a few years back and people were in Tuxes. In Vegas people wore jeans. There were a few people in tuxes in vegas but not the majority. Same event in different locations had a markedly different crowd.

Black tie optional does not mean jeans.

I am not an expert at this troll thing. But Ivy League with all those years experience? Most of these guys are either C level executives pulling down a lot more or running their own startup with lots of funding. Especially if he is multilingual and black.

Something does not fit, $114K coming out of school maybe but not after 15 years. Another thing is he would have been heavily recruited by the corporate world graduating from an Ivy League and sitting pretty today. And networking with these Ivy League guys is an art form and insider's club like you would not believe.

Thanks. If I end up moving here (I'm in Las Vegas now, but am about to get on a plane), I plan to go to the charity events pretty often.

Also, Las Vegas was unbelievably bad the last few days, by far the worst I've ever seen it. I was also in about the worst mood/the most stressed I've been in decades. As soon as I get back, I have to write some pretty large checks to both the federal and state government. It never seems to end.

Dude, not everyone with an Ivy league degree is corporate law, BIG 3 consulting, or working for Goldman.

Of my three closest classmates here is the run down--a high school civics teacher and football coach at an East Coast prep school, a trader at CreditSuissse (makes the big bucks but has been laid off twice), and a writer/editor for National Geographic (which is prestigious as fuck in the literary world although it does not pay squat).

The best receiver on my team...white boy...got a girl pregnant his junior year and dropped out and works for UPS a front line manager in some hole in Jersey where he was from.

Dude, even if I was full time at State, how much money do you think the head of the political office in Copenhagen makes? Diplomats dont get big salaries.

To help your inner game I suggest getting involved in a high-energy, physical hobby like MMA or BJJ, cycling, or training for triathlons. LV, from what I understand, is a good place for running or cycling training if you get out early enough in the morning to avoid the heat. There are tons of cycling, running, and triathlon races within a few hours drive of you throughout southern and central california. Triathlon is an expensive pasttime, because of the cost involved with purchasing high-end cycling equipment and paying for a gym membership that gives you access to a lap pool. But, it sounds like you have the salary to afford it.

I think you have set up shop in the wrong town, I have never been to Vegas and to be honest I have no desire to go. I can only assume you are dealing with girls that are use to dudes wasting money on them, that game you will always lose.

I am Asian, went to an Ivy equivalent, make 6 figures. Back in Boston, just learned about game, was hitting my strides, dating cute/cool white girls. Then I moved to LA. Here girls don't give a rat's ass about you degree or you 6 figure salary. Unless you got a pad with a pool and a view on Hollywood hills, you ain't competing. Hollywood hotties are sniffing out the producers, directors, casting agents. I even got a used Porche convertible. Good for closing, but does nothing for the front game (obviously girls in the club don't see your car). Sure you don't need money if you got game, but then you are competing with wanna be actor Ryan Gosling look a likes who has zero fear of rejection and "acting skills".

I don't even know why a sophisticated guy like you want to date these girls in Vegas. I am not saying they are not worth dating. They may very well be a good girl friend for that Texas Hold'm poker champ, but you and her have nothing in common. If you just want to get laid, there are some fine ass semi-pros hangout outside of the clubs all the time. I never hooked up with them, but boy do it regret it. I call them semi pros cause they seek out decent looking guys with no game lol. They are young and not janky looking.

Those guys always get the best tables in clubs costing like $10,000-$20,000.

That is true. Good game is when a girl who could have any man she wanted is content just having a cheap beer with you. The beer is irrelevant, the prize is having this amazing man in front of her. If you have really good game, you can often get her to pay for the entire date, for the privilege of your company.

LA isn't as much about bankroll as it's made out to be. New York is. It's more about having some sort of "appeal" and looks. Whether is rocker, euro soccer player, or even a glamorized hipster (there's a specific type of hipster that only LA has). Here is the thing, the town has arguably the highest concentration of 9/10's in the world. Those women are reserved for Hollywood guys, Cristiano Ronaldo, or celebrities (whether they be rappers, producers, movie execs...you name it).

There's lots of 6/7/8s in LA that would be 9's in their respective hometowns. You need to have an edge in LA. It's not like most towns where being a regular guy with decent income is enough. An edgy pizza delivery guy in great shape can essentially re-invent himself at night, where in other cities, it would be more difficult. The city itself is built on the premise of a smokescreen.

The guys with the most cash are usually from foreign countries and don't even have a grasp of basic American humor.
