I read the forum rules and I am not trying to be a "one-itis troll." At the same time, I am an acquaintance of this girl and I thought she was fair game according to the "NEWB FAQ" which says "The exceptions:Girls you've known for a long-time, but never really got to know each other.....Or the girl that lives in your apartment complex that you've seen for months, but never engaged in conversation"

I thought I could as some general advice about this situation.

If you know she has a boyfriend then I think you are close enough to the point that it's game over. If you were not even acquainted with her that would be completely different.
