Bangkok, Thailand - Google Amarin Mansion. I stayed there for 6 months while studying. Awesome new place not far from Khao San (but a little quieter) where a ton of exchange students stay. Good staff with flexible terms. I paid around 275/month USD.

Koh Phangan- Haad Rin-- bungalows on Magic Mountain mountain. Paid 350 baht per night in December during the high season. Loud at night, but really close to the Full Moon party. I was almost attacked by a monkey outside of my bungalow while attempting to trek to Haad Yuan... but the location of the place was .
