You know a society is on the decline when the most important life-simulation games portray its vices without even recognizing them as what they are. These things have become so normalized that they are acceptable even in children's games.

Most of this trailer revolves around the ridicule of the beta male and his confinement to a life of misery for being the way society made him. Everyone else feels validated by being better than him. You also see the fat feminist, the "freethinking" slut, the faggy gym higher-beta, and the modern 6 who overestimates her beauty. There are references to the hookup culture, unjustified hypergamy...

There are a few I leave unmentioned so as to not create debate, but I am sure you will spot them. Remember this is a children's game, and the developers picked up on these things by accident, at no moment even considering them as vices.

I wonder how often people hear society is on the decline. I guess Sodoma and Gomora was also on the decline....

History follows a boom-bust cycle. Most civilizations, or aspects of civilizations, gradually decline until some kind of floor is hit. Then there is a traumatic event that leads to the incorporation of a reform in mentality, and the decline beings again. In some cases it is the other way around, and other times incline and decline just alternate but most of the time it is the first.

Incline is rarely perceptible. Remember when communism came to the USSR, the girls became sweeter because humility was encouraged by the system, but also tougher due to a fear of strangers calling the police on them. Nobody saw that incline, nobody saw the girls get sweeter, and if they did they didn't take much note. Decline is just that much more noticeable.

2 - The sims, like GTA, likes to poke fun at society

3 - Have you played the game before?

4 - I look forward to your posts in the "what's a 10?" thread, considering the amount of "decline" posts you've posted.

Also, society has been at it's best level ever....if you're not average.

Getting sex is easier than ever before, but I know very few men who would agree that "society has been at it's best level ever". Today a man must work ten times harder for things that our ancestors simply had to exist to have. There are things that are completely out of reach for 90% of men, such as a satisfying and intimate relationship with a sweet and femenine woman.

This is impossible to achieve in the West. Such is the case that many of the men who can get laid in the West quickly flee to greener pastures. Why don't they stay and enjoy the fuckfest?

You should be angrier about the fact that the game looks exactly the same as the Sims 2. Not only that, but the entire premise of the game seems to be trying to get players to buy an endless stream of expansion packs and microtransaction stuff. Last time I played that game the microtransaction shit was so invasive that you couldn't even place a piece of furniture without having to flip through pages of items that required you to pay real money. EA seems to have a goal of buying up every popular game franchise and then making it terrible.

Girls who play Sims are easiest to bed. They are often lonely, unorganized, histrionic and they need a simulator for their love life so they are easily manipulated by a dude who has any clear real life goal with them (i.e. sex). I know a girl who almost broke up with her beta boyfriend just because their family on Sims didn't last (she was shit at multitasking and managing multiple people).
