Ok so i have an idea that i am very much considering putting in motion. The only problem is i dont know enough to make my own product wbsite.

My questions are what price range would i be looking at to have a product website madr that has different colours and material choice (its for clothing) for each product, checkout and secure payment, becoming a member etc basically everything you normally have in a product website.

1500-2000 usd for a WP theme modded to your needs. call up your local shops and get estimates.

^^ You can buy a $55 ecommerce theme and hire someone off Odesk for some help with initial set up.

Shopify.

It took me 2 hours to set up. Its still fresh, but it gets something out there. I used godaddy to buy the domain and just set shopify to the DNS setting so if I dont want to pay the monthly shopify fee (expensive) then I can get my own website up at a later date and cancel the shopify store.

Recommended from another thread, http://www.odoo.com. I created a free account and started messing with the website builder last night. It's newbie friendly, even simpler than a WP theme but really limited regarding customizations. Shopify may be better but still worth a look.

@Laner is right. Shopify is absolutely the way to go in your situation.
