And you know what they say about idle hands. If she's a shopper, that's got to be kept in check. She's got to understand that being a stay at home is not a license to be a slug. Encourage the exercise and there's no reason she can't keep doing the volunteer thing too. It's crazy-making staying at home all day and only hanging out with other mommies.

100% agree. The full time stay-at-home Mom's that I know drive me fucking crazy. They're always posting on Facebook to complain about this and that. They have nothing better to do so they start reading sensationalist mommy blogs and that just leads to trouble.

She expressed wanting to stay at home while the kids are very young and then going back to work part time until they're in school then back to work full time.

My wife stays home and I keep it that way. She is Chinese and her traditional upbringing makes it easy for me to not worry about certain shit like getting fat. In fact, right now she is already back to her previous weight. Her cans are huge, but I'm not complaining about it. She takes care of the baby and stuff while I concentrate on work. It's alot of pressure on me, but we all need new motivations as men to keep us moving forward. New challenges will renew your fire and energy.

Kai,

Thanks for all the advice and congrats to you!

When she first told you, what exactly were the first few thoughts that came to your mind ?

She sent me a text message yesterday afternoon saying "we need to talk". I was thinking wtf that's not a good text message. I couldn't think of what we might need to "talk" about.

After work, I called her and she told me the news. My first reaction was a big smile and "holy shit that's awesome!". No feelings of dread, I didn't get that sinking feeling in my stomach etc. The next couple thoughts were centered about "how" and then after a while, I started thinking "this is going to be fucking expensive".

Well you're in a LTR and engaged and have a great job. I can see how that's how you would react.

Mine is 7-8 months dating, no long term plans yet, and I've emerging into my career (28 years old semi lagging)

My first thought was dread and oh wow, then I had these thoughts about raising a child, doing things right, then she mentioned abortion and I hastily agreed. I know I probably want children....just not now.

Anyway you've got your shit together, having a child will be a blessing for you, good luck !

Congrats! Becoming a father was the best thing that ever happened to me. The moment your child looks at you for the first time, you'll never forget it.

Congratulations! All the best man. I love kids. Fingers crossed you have a son.

Just a question for you and the other guys that have posted here who are married with families:

Are you guys faithful to your wives? Or do you just come on here for red-pill stuff/banter as opposed to picking up women. I don't meant to be disrespectful or intrusive, I'm just genuinely curious.

RE: I'm going to be a father.
@cmrocks congratulations man!

When I was in my early/mid-twenties I looked at fathers pushing strollers and I'd think "poor bastard..."

But now that I'm round 29 I see little kids and I totally get it. Assuming you can find a great, feminine girl who can be a wonderful mom it's not such a raw deal. Especially if you make decent money and don't have to kill yourself just to feed the fam.

On a very serious note I want to echo what a few of the other bros have said about getting a paternity test. I don't know if you can do it without her knowledge or consent (probably not in Canada what with all their 'ethics') but I'd rather bring and risk pissing her off than raising some other dude's kid. Just my 2c.

Faithful so far.

I feel that I'm lucky to have discovered the red pill fairly early in life. I first read The Game and Mystery Method when I was 20. I was able to date bang enough girls to sort of get it out of my system. When I found one that I liked enough, I proposed to her. I wasn't in a rush to have a family but it's something that I've always wanted. I'm 28 now and this happened probably 2 years sooner than ideal but whatever, I'm really excited about it.

RE: I'm going to be a father.
I will be a father as well. I am in a similar situation, I've already banged plenty of college chicks & EDM sluts, my finances are better than ever, and just like you... felt the need for something greater. It's a weird yet amazing feeling to know you'll be THAT guy. In his or her life.

I think I picked the right girl, I think she will be faithful. She is the kind of partner I want. I also wanna thank most of this forum because I know Red Pill & Fatherhood will go hand in hand.

Best of luck to you.

P.S - Mines due in March!
