A car insurer obviously has zero say in what happens on the roads. They are making "plans" on what authority? This story is utter horseshit.

Obviously the hope is that this goes viral, as all publicity is good publicity.

Can't wait to see the video of the first MtF transgendered whatever getting stopped for driving in the pink. I'm all for this idea, so long as the pink lane is on the right (left for the countries that drive on the wrong side of the road). I drive for a living, and I would feel much safer with the women in their own lane. When I get cut-off, tailgated, or have a near miss it's a woman behind the wheel 8 out of 10 times. The other 2 slots are filled with dickheads in large pickup trucks trying to force their way through when I'm trying to merge.

You won't be any safer. It's not like they'll be restricted to one lane.

It's a stupid plan anyway. Accidents can happen because don't stay in their own lane, so unless women literally had their own road or barriers to protect them other the evil male drivers, it wouldn't make a lick of difference short of reducing the odds of being rear ended by/rear ending a male driver.

I can't wait to see those lanes backed up because 16 women rear ended each other while talking on their cellphones/doing their hair/makeup/being a women and not knowing how to drive.

The boys in the fast lane can laugh as we cruise past the backed up traffic in this "pink zone".

An insurance company catering to women shooting for an all-female lane? They're gonna bank on a lot of accidents happening in that lane, which leads to more money coming in from increased premiums.

my last job was an analyst for a motor insurer. the reason women's car insurance used to be cheaper (before EU ruling) isn't because they are better/ safer drivers, woman have a lot more accidents then guys. the reason their premiums were lower is because they statistically do less motorway driving. motorway accidents are the ones which are most costly to an insurer (likely write off). If women and men did equal motorway driving then their insurance would be higher.

Exactly. I worked for an insurance company. Their driving time is simply by far lower. Many accidents are done by professional drivers - cabbies, truck drivers etc. While men at younger age driver more recklessly, women are actually the worse drivers all around and sometimes have accidents that practically almost no man would ever have.

As with the "pay gap" those factors are hardly looked at. Sometimes insurers bring up the argument in order to raise premiums for men and they can get away with it due to the anti-male culture.

I would love to see some pink lanes, if I go back 15 years in time and I saw someone driving erratically it was usually late at night and I would assume it was a drunk driver...nowadays its any time and I assume its a woman, under 30, with her phone right up to her face. This is especially easy to confirm at night when you can see the screen brightness going up and down inside the cabin. Get these women off of my roadway and you know the cops will be patrolling those pink lanes like crazy...I would if I was a male cop; easy pussy.
