The man was a judge in Dallas named Carlos Cortez, who was arrested on domestic violence charges but was able to be cleared thanks to the cell phone video he took. His girlfriend had claimed that he choked him and threw her out of the car.

Cortez’s lawyers complained that the police did not do a full investigation, which would never have meant the case would have gone to a grand jury. Cortez was cleared of all charges.

Hm When I first saw him and her, I thought 'he is going out with a girl like that?' (I mean she's not that hot. but I know what kind of guys a girl like that would go for) and I realized he was an district judge. made sense now.

The guy is district judge and he let everyone know he was dating a girl like that and his unprofessional behavior (talking about she took drugs? having a cat fight in the car while using f-words?)
I am sure she wasn't just normal during the day and decided to freak out one night. I am sure he kept dealing with her crazy behavior due to her looks and basically he paid the price for it.

It's more complicated than that. He's ambitious and she starts blackmailing him with his career, and he keeps finding excuses to delay the escape. Even after months and planning and videoing, he probably still lost his career (she added child molestation charges to the mix).

The guy was a judge and this still made it to trial? What the fuck...is there a picture of the opposing counsel? I want to see if its an angry looking woman who would hate the kind of guy that dates drunk blond sluts.

Funny how they try to twist it around. She actually accused him of deeds that would destroy his career and actually give him serious jail time, while all he did was saying a few harsher words.
