Holy shit. That's seriously brutal.

All I can think is:
- If you're being charged with something like this, don't rest on your innocence. Take an active role in your defence, don't expect a lawyer to do his job just because he is being paid.
- Go after the ex-wife. If there is enough evidence to prove a malicious prosecution or at least purgery, put her behind bars.
- And above all else, don't let it get to this. A woman doesn't start doing all this overnight. There would have been many signs that the relationship was breaking down, and steps could have been taken earlier to either fix it or finish it. I also seriously doubt someone couldn't spot this kind of vicious streak in someones personality before they married them. Seriously - cheating on her husband with multiple men and then putting false molestation charges on him when he tried for divorce? I can't see how you wouldn't be able to spot that kind of monster. Perhaps I'm naiive.

He obviously had a bad lawyer. Molestation of his daughter is a criminal offense. Not something judged in family/divorce court. He could have got a child psychologist involved to interview everyone involved to sort out the facts and give a report to the court. He could have also appealed the verdict.

The guy make 6 figures. Court appointented child psychologist cost about $10k. It's common in divorce and child custody. If you can prove she's psycho and lying it's money well spent.

This guy broke one of my key rules (even though I am not married yet). He took over responsibility for another man's kid. That is my biggest concern, that is her blood you are disciplining or spanking. Who will she choose in the event of dispute between the step child and you? Also, who would she use to hurt you, her own "asset" as in this situation - "he isn't your real daddy, he is trying to hurt your mommy, you need to tell the police this and this." As usual, seems like evidence wasn't allowed. Because it would help his case. I know I am generalizing.

Do not raise another man's kid. Marry only if you want kids. Prenup!

2nd lawyer took the money and told him he paid for an expert to show up at the trial. Never paid the expert, so the expert never showed up. He was able to re-open the case because of the terrible #2 lawyer.

After 3 losing his job and being incarcerated for 17 months, he was all out of money and took the first deal that didn't require sex offender registration. And FWIW, he did hire 3 Phds. The deal he got was what you get AFTER shelling out massive money. Average dude would have been crushed.

I've met lawyers that were seriously vindictive, fucked-up people trying to run a game on everyone.

It wouldn't surprise me if the lawyer put the idea into her head that her husband actually did this, kept the hamster spinning, and pushed along the coaching of the daughter. Said lawyer may have even convinced herself (I'm guessing on gender)that the accusation was legitimate.

Some people are really screwed up. But they almost always try to find a way to convince themselves they're doing the right thing.

The hamster spins that wheel faster than we even realize. Scary.

I can't say the man deserves it... but he is partially to blame. This is an engineering manager making plenty of money - how is it possible that this was the best he could do? If you've secured the financial aspect of your life, how do you just totally drop the ball and marry a single mother?

And at the very least, make sure the stepchild is a boy instead of a girl. There's a greater chance a boy will appreciate a paternal figure in his life, and he's more likely to have a sense of honor and refuse to cooperate with the mom.

I would add:

Never ever marry in the current climate.
Have a party / marriage ceremony without the legal contract.
You will never be the real dad to the children of a single mom.

Without Game / Red Pill you are fucked either way - in a LTR / marriage anyway.
