Edit - I don't think she was trying to be funny. Reading some of her stuff, she seems like she has a major chip on her shoulder. She takes perceived slights waaaay too personally, and it's clear she thinks all men are rapists/domestic abusers waiting to happen. Too bad, because she's cute as hell.

My response to that flow chart is this. If a guy has given you money for sex, and you accepted it, you owe him sex.

Well yeah. She doesn't have to fuck me. That's totally fine, her choice.

But if she wants to go back on her commitment/vows, that goes both ways. Men don't owe women their monogamy. It makes me completely justified in going out and crushing two 18 year old sluts.

The commitment isn't the main thing women are getting from men. The better charts would be:
- when does a man owe you protection
- when does society owe your fatherless child any support

That would raise hell.

I just think the snarky obnoxious 'women don't owe you anything even if you spend thousands on a ring/wedding/child and protect/provide for them' attitude is a little infuriating especially when, as Sonsowey pointed out, American girls always be like "Where have all the good men gone?"

We're off having noncommital sex because we realize there's no benefit to committing to you hoes!

The original chart is interesting. It basically says a woman has no obligation to ever have sex with a man, even if in a relationship or married. It was made in response to the man who made a spreadsheet of his wifes excuses not to have sex with him, saying that it is wrong for him to expect that his own wife have sex with him. That's how far feminism has gone with women. It's gone so far in removing any sort of responsibility from them that they don't believe they have any obligation to have sex with their own husband,

With marriage, you vow to love the other person forever. Between a husband and wife, part of loving means having sex. Because with marriage you must not have sex with anyone else, both partners have to take care of each others needs.

It goes to show utterly worthless the modern western woman is as marriage material. Viewing any sort of obligation as opression, when a woman marries she is committing to do absolutely nothing. Even as relationship material, any woman who takes this mindset is terrible if she feels she has absolutely no obligation to make her partner happy. You can game her and keep her for awhile, but a woman who feels no obligation to you and is going to bolt the moment you stop giving her a tingle isn't a real partner at all.

Again, I'll warn against judging women by still photos -- esp. glamorous promo pics -- where we can project images onto them. Moving videos tell a better story.

IMO this "story" is like that girl in the office we all know who is so annoying it undercuts her looks. I will give her credit for thinness, though. (But can anyone tell me what's with the nasal, clipped, asexual way so many American women like this speak? Is this a trend?)

Western society has transition from one where people felt they had certain responsibilities into one where they are always asking "what's in it for me?"

Traditionally, women were smart enough to realize that if they wanted a man's continued resources and protection, it was in their absolutely best interest to keep him as satisfied as possible with her company.

Women were never obligated to give sex, although being forced to was a real possibility. They were always completely free to take off on the open road and see what they could achieve on their own, but without protection, odds are that instead of a tacit obligation, they'd just have sex and possibly death, forced on them.

Today, with the government and various legal entities in place to force a man to turn over these resources regardless of his satisfaction with a relationship, women are absolutely not obligated to give a man sex nor is their any incentive beyond her own immediate short term physical desires.

So, the flow chart is absolutely correct. We should all post it on our fridge.

Kind of but not really. The flowchart is reframing and attacking a straw man that had nothing to do with the actual case. They're not saying it's wrong for a man to expect sex they're saying it's wrong for a man to shame his wife and treat her as if she was obligated to satisfy his sexual needs. They're framing it this way to get a rise out of people because the truth would be much less inflammatory (merely a husband/wife squabble which probably goes layers deep that no one on the internet sees)

the author has a masters from the London School of Economics and writes for a pseudointellectual clickbait web magazine. sounds like those credentials are being put to good use.

that aside, this "you aren't owed sex" meme is a ridiculous strawman argument designed to draw an allusion between basic male desire and rape. a relationship without sex is nothing more than a friendship. you want sex from your partner and aren't getting it? "ok then, sorry that I experienced a natural desire, you don't owe me anything." it's a shaming technique aimed at weaker/beta men. and as the manosphere is fond of saying, you can't negotiate desire. they're basically telling their beta providers to whom they feel limited or no attraction (present or future) to shut up and accept their lot in life.

and the commenters saying sex isn't a 'necessity' except for procreation are hilarious. anyone who's taken psych 101 has seen Maslow's hierarchy of needs putting sex at the base along with other 'non-essentials' like food, water, and sleep.

Yup, every office has at least one cute girl who has that annoying voice. One in my office has that valley girl/vocal fry thing going on. An older relative asked me recently why so many younger women talk that way. I think they do it because it makes them sound 'stronger', as if they read in some self-help book to speak with more authority, but I really don't know.

It downgrades the author from WB to WPITB (Would pulverize in the butt).

The vocal fry? Some celebrities do it, some women imitated it b/c said celebrity was on TV, and their friends imitated the imitators so they could fit in.

You can sell a woman anything if a famous person on TV/radio has it or does it first. Social proof.
