Berson would not confirm any names connected to the show – it’s still unclear if the as-yet titled show will have one central host – but people familiar with the show’s plans who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the details were supposed to remain confidential revealed to The Big Lead six names who are expected to be regulars: CBS Sports veteran Lesley Visser, Dana Jacobson (who previously worked at ESPN), CBS NFL analyst Amy Trask, and sideline reporters Allie LaForce, Tracy Wolfson and Jenny Dell.

CBS would not reveal the show’s format, but sources say it will be something akin to The View meets Pardon the Interruption. It’s difficult to find a comparison for something this groundbreaking, but Berson did say it was going to be “a sports talk show featuring women; it’s not intended to be a women’s sports issue show.”

Unlike other networks, which are skittish to bring competitors onto their shows, Berson noted that the show would include “personalities from other media companies” as well as current and former athletes and team executives.

“It’s long overdue,” Berson said. “We feel we’re the right network and place for it with a tremendously respected roster of female sports journalists.”

Good luck with that, low rating turn out, unless they become a striptease show.

Even women won't watch it.

Probably only 2 or 3 females that are actually legitimate sports talk heads.

This will be a raging success if they discuss sports gossip as opposed to sports per se. Sprinkle in the latest scores, but focus on who is single, who just cashed out big time on a divorce, baby mamas etc. The blond on that thread about the golfer is the right guest for this type of show.

Good for them. It's obviously is going to tank though. Most girls who "love sports" love the excitement of the atmosphere surrounding the games and watching players they want to get stuffed by, but they rarely appreciate it the way guys do. They don't give a fuck about the Xs and Os talk and in-depth analysis of games and players. I wonder how the feminists will blame sexism when the ratings for this are in the shitter.

This will be targeted to beta males who dream of having a girl they can talk sports with. The announcers will be dumb as rocks but be pretty with huge racks.

Women complain about jobs being male dominated but only about the jobs they want. Comfortable jobs that doesn't require physical labor. I don't see women complaining about the lack of females in construction. Maybe they'll create an all formal construction crew. Perhaps garbage men will soon become garbage women. Oh wait. Those jobs are "for men" says the feminists.

Double standards and the hypocrisy of feminism is why it's falling apart. It's only a matter of time before they self-destruct.

Now we just have to hope that the converted feminist beta males don't start victimizing themselves and starting another movement.

Most of these women get into that profession because it puts them around athletes, one of the rumored hosts is engaged to a baseball player for the Angels.

They love athletes, not the sports they play.

I'll post on this again when the show gets cancelled for low ratings.

It will die a slow death, but not because of the all women cast. CBS Sports Network is a non player. Does anyone know off the top of their head what # it is on their cable provider?

People search out sports EVENTS on TV, not sports talk. When they do watch sports talk, it is because it happens to be on their default sports channel (ESPN) or are waiting for their event to start.

But even if ESPN DID pick it up, it would be aired in the ghost towns of early afternoons or Saturday mornings.

About ten years ago ESPN tried this with First Take. It was originally called Cold Pizza and fashioned after Good Morning America or some shitty network morning show. Jay Crawford and Woody Paige were there from the outset, I believe, but were complimented by one empty-blouse female sports reporter and one simply there for her legs. Amazingly, the fashion and gossip segments were dropped to become what is now Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless arguing over which is wetter, hot water or cold water.

About a month ago, ESPN's ombudsman had a column that discussed the .com's affinity sites, like Grantland and Fivethrityeight. Even then, they admitted ESPN's own attempt to pander to women, espnW, has been a failure. Here's the money quote that inadvertently explains why the pandering has failed...
