Washington Post published an article about Stephen A Smith's comments regarding NFL player Ray Rice's actions in domestic abuse.

It was then where Stephen A Smith dropped a nugget of truth about women provoking men into domestic violence. By provoke, I don't mean forgetting to wash the dishes. I mean actually calling out women who try to demonstrate masculine behavior to other men (cussing them out, spitting, smacking with open or closed hand in a threatening manner, etc.)

Outrage soon followed on Twitter by an ESPN collegue and the hamster wheel began to spin.

This situation reminds me of the phrase, "One of these things is not like the other."

Michelle's ridiculous response is the expected given the rhetoric beat into women's heads, "Nothing is ever your fault." Women and girls are constantly told what happens in their life is never their fault. This results in women completely unable to parse out the reality of situations.

Didn't get into John Hopkins? Not your fault.

Your boyfriend beat you? Not your fault.

You have 50k in debt? Not your fault.

What women don't learn is how to discern what reasonably is your fault and what is not. Your boyfriend beating you for burning the pork roast is completely different from you screaming and threatening to smack your boyfriend. Not getting into medical school because they toss out black candidates is different than you not being smart of enough to ace the MCAT. Having 50k of debt because of necessary medical expenses is different than 50k of debt after you flunking out of freshman year when you majored in Women's Studies.

Michelle's initial tweet reflects this. She is amazed that she learns she can be the cause of abuse. Yeah, no shit. When you boyfriend beats you for not packing his lunch, that is completely on him. When he smacks you after you get in his face screaming and talk about violently attacking him, that was your fault.

Sometimes in life, things happen to you that is not your fault. I've been robbed at gunpoint, jumped and beaten randomly and almost killed in the car wreck. You should be able to separate what you did to cause the situation and what was other's choices. That is called maturity.

You can't do whatever the hell you want and expect the world around you to respond in ways that you want.

I am studying for the bar. In torts, we have what is called contributory negligence, comparative fault, and/or assumption of liability.

I am seriously wondering how a feminist studying for the bar would feel about these concepts.

If a woman is not responsible for malign outcomes that proceed her way, i.e. it's never her fault,does that also mean she is not responsible for beneficial outcomes that proceed her way, i.e. she never did that on merit?

The funny thing is that she's actually genuine. Feminists are so far removed from the consequences of their actions that the entire concept has become alien to them. They truly can't comprehend how getting in someone's face, shouting abuse at them or hitting them can conceivably lead to them returning the favor. It's mind boggling.

Guys know this. Every boy instinctively understands it from a young age. Even the weakest, most effeminate dweeb knows that if he walks into a biker bar and starts getting in people's faces, he won't walk out of there on his own two feet. Snarky comments won't save him.

Remember that women are attracted to dominant men above all else. Right or wrong, nothing conveys dominance to a woman more directly than slapping her around. Being the weaker sex, women are hardwired to respect violence. Their instinctual reaction is to submit themselves to a violent man as a form of self-preservation. Violence also sets off the tingles because if a man is violent toward her he's probably violent toward other men as well, further implying dominance.

The relationship between violence and female arousal is probably the most inconvenient and oft-ignored by feminists and researchers in general.

A bit off topic but:

I was out clubbing Friday night, trolled some girl on the dance floor after she was pissed that I getting all the selfie attention from her friends.

A few minutes later she slapped me twice in the face when I was having a drink at a table with a few buddies, I told her to fuck off.

I walk pass her at the end of the night, giving a James Franco wink

My buddy lets me know that she's chasing after me, I turn around and she starts wailing on me. Manages to swing at my face 10 times, All I do i grab her arms and wait for a bouncer to show.

I couldn't retaliate unless I want to
A) Face the wrath of a thousand white knights
B) Get banned from my favorite pub/club
C) Face the cops always waiting outside

The bouncer saw the whole thing and kicked her out, but I'm still disappointed in how I handled it and the fact that if it was a dude I could have easily retaliated and face little consequences.

What would have been the best course of action? Chick was chasing me the whole night and when she started going ape shit was pouting and whining like a kid saying "whyyyy are u such a dick to meee "

Even though Stephen A. Smith is somewhat speaking the truth here he has always come across as a race troll to me. He has nothing to offer society except a song and dance to enrage or bemuse. He's an entertainer that caters towards the lowest common denominator that buy into his routine.

Its now to the point where anyone on ESPN with an opinion will be suspended sometime during their short career there. They fire and suspend people left and right for essentially nothing. I am glad I got rid of cable and I don't have any income going to that Mickey Mouse sports network.

The white knighting manginas on facebook are the most depressing thing about this whole story.
